In the last decade, female performances have been nothing short of spectacular. In an industry, that is still predominantly male actors dominated, female actors have held their ground purely on the basis of their performances. There is a surge of woman centric stories. Even in the usual fare of Bollywood Masala movies, the female actors have gone way beyond their stipulated miss and blink roles, being eye candies and all. The fact that writers, directors are etching the female characters in a much clear and distinguishable fashion, the last ten years’ acting performances are a testimonial to this.
