Actually booma, I think they marketed well but somehow the history was not marketed by the government .. wherever the tamil kings went, they made sure that the language,lifestyle , names of the places all refer back to their origins .. our text books don’t have all those as part of our curriculum ..that is why when we get to know about all those through internet we are so surprised. We are in a sorry state of learning our history from some foreigner’s research (all these researchers got so many ollai from the government libraries which are preserved in their archives)
Yes ..it's very sad ...our text books covers only war of independence to a larger extent ... Nowadays kids just know the names of three Tamil empires...other than that nothing...still our kids study only Russian revolution and Czechoslovakia revolution elaborately.. This is the sad state of our text books even now ..
Yes....world history is needed...but not this elaborately... instead of that they should cover our ancient Indian history before the independence war...
