Deepika Padukone has survived depression and the long battle for inner peace is known to suck the best out of you. She has already suffered under a great deal of depression and came out strong.

Today the much-awaited trailer of her upcoming film Chhapaak has released and it has left everyone under a spell. As a matter of fact, even Rangoli Chandel has stood in support of the Piku actress and applauded her for choosing this character.

However, performing such characters isn't always easy and while she has already seen the dark side of depression we believe the film has impacted her adversely. During The Print's Off The Cuff, Deepika revealed that she burnt the prosthetics used in the movie once the filming was wrapped.

She explained, "I literally had to burn the piece of prosthetics that I was wearing on the last day of the shoot. Because it impacted me in a way that I never experienced before."

The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar, which also stars Vikrant Massey. The film turned to be one of the most anticipated films of 2020.

Chhapaak features is the triumphant story of an acid attack survivor, Malti. The movie is all set to hit the theaters on 10th January 2020.

Hope she acted this well in the movie too😉

Where's Laxmi? Was she there at the trailer launch? Or was it only this woman's depression drama continued till end?

She should stop doing movies.. PV took a toll on her mental health... Chapaak took a toll on her mental health.. every movie takes a toll on her mental health... She should give importance to her mental health

Viewers will also suffer mental trauma seeing those ridiculous screams.

I believe her....she must have seen herself in the mirror wearing all that make up and that too for days and days...living the life of an acid attack victim...its humanly not possible to not get affected..*shudders*

The suggestion she is faking this is unbelievable. How can any human being fail to be affected emotionally by the plight of these women? Some things should be beyond fan wars.

She is a very emotionally sensitive person. Not everything is for PR.

No idea why she has to share this for the victims to see.. imagine implying that being like them is so traumatic that she had to burn her prosthetics while they themselves ended up like that from getting acid burns..
