I wonder if MJ had a similar track, where he went all out on Maya, destroyed her and then someone made him realize that he has lost Rudra 5 years ago, messed up Maya and he is potential threat to Rishi if he doesn't keep himself in check as well.

Yeah, but what if he really didn't care about them then, making Rudra's life a mess that it is and/or with Maya happening after 2 years, he realized that his family needs him

That's why I thought MJ and Maya had a past. I still believe MJ and Maya know each other, at least. The question is what kind of past they had, as lovers or as something else. Those flashbacks by Maya and Rudra are making me rethink. And how is her brother involved? Maybe he worked for MJ or Rudra's friend?
