Why can't we have thrillers like Knives Out in BW?

Just saw this fantastic murder mystery called Knives Out and it made me wonder why we don't have the same standard of thrillers/mysteries in Bollywood. With the exception of Kahaani, I don't know of a single movie which was top-notch in this genre.

Has anyone else seen Knives Out? Would love to have you share your views.

Why? Because for a film to be good the makers have to pay the writers well and treat them respectfully - two conditions BW is, apparently, unable to meet.

That they cannot afford to, because all their resources are focussed on appeasing their leading men...The rest of the cast and crew are pretty dispensable for them!

OT: OMG, what a movie btw! That and A good day in the neighborhood- two best movies of the season!

Sadly, you're not wrong.

As to the film - smart, well written, but I'm not sure people go completely gaga over it. Maybe because of the lack of decent mystery thrillers? That said, I loved the actress who played the nurse.

Sadly its a horror thriller because of which I couldn’t dare to watch it till now....:/

Bollywood keeps churning mediocre products because they don't hire qualified people..and their core audience don't expect them to make better products..

Movies like Knives out are too smart for BW audience . They prefer stuff Housefull, Dhamaal, Dabangg etc

Don't forget about Andhadhun. Bollywood is coming up with different concepts gradually.
