EHT was extended though, if I remember correctly, and changed because TRP was low. They thought the kitchen politics would do better.
6 months is a good time. Sony TV either behaves really well with its shows or really badly. Beyhadh 1 was a hit, so they'll probably behave well with the second season and not force it off its course. Plus a lot of the Beyhadh 1 audience will be watching the second season as well, so it's on the CVs to ensure that they keep the attention of that audience, while adding more.
I do like that it's a finite series though. This means that the story has already been thought out and is being shot accordingly. There might be a few changes here and there, but hopefully not a lot. Unless it gets extended. Then all bets are off the table.
Of what I had heard it was supposed to be for a year, and it did last for a year. I don't mind a finite series. In fact, I like finite series as long as they remain true to what they are trying to sell us - which is a revenge drama. Thoda bahut plot twists are ok for me. Not too much of it though.

Finite series are my fodder on TV. I can't stand the long-running TV shows anymore.
Plot twists are bound to happen as well. I don't mind them as long as they aren't completing changing the show. EHT's plot twist changed the show completely in a way. Beyhadh 1 as well.
The previous season had lots of illogical twists. Hope there are no illogical twists in this one.
That's good. Let's keep it crisp.
I don't know how I should react to this but I have mixed feelings regarding beyhadh 2 being a finite series. On one hand I never wants any of Jen's shows to end, especially Beyhadh franchise but on the another, if it's actually a finite series, that means there won't be unnecessary dragging or baseless complications for higher trps and it will make it a far better treat for us, viewers to enjoy.

Even if it is a finite series, then also things go haywire. Because, they add unnecessary plot twists, which spoil the fun of watching a revenge drama. Just like they did with Ek Hasina Thi. Just hope they sell it the way they promoted this revenge drama
I totally agree on the EHT point. The intial 20 episodes where she tackes her first target MR Mathur, was just so thrilling and engaging and then it went totally downhill as it was not getting much TRPS. If you rewatch the series you can tell the difference between the first few episodes and say the100th episodes. I mean so much unnecessary plot twist and crying. the fierce durga was completely lost.
I can just hope that this time, they stick to their intended story line and script and not let the TRP aunties dictate the story flow.
