And ekta getting award for best business women is nothing to do with regressive or progressive mind set...she makes more money than any other business women or men that's why she gets award bcs after all business is all about making money...

Aladdin is the only show presently where we have a female ruler sitting on the throne meant for men. Yes she has no male siblings but in that case normally a male cousin or some men of high ranking is made to sit on the throne. But here the throne has only a female ruler sitting on it. I doubt if any fantasy show in India has ever shown this in a long time. Okay if there are less fantasy shows then imagine a 21st century family where a daughter(including female lead) is made the CEO of the family business instead of the son. I don't watch KZK but I got to know from some that hero's elder sister who is an experienced businesswoman was not made owner of the company but instead her younger brother who was the hero is made even though he was just out of college and inexperienced in business. Even in today's times, the family don't make daughter as CEO even when she is more capable but make sob the CEO though he is inexperienced or hardly knows anything. So Yasmine is clearly breaking stereotypes in this though in a fantasy show. Chandrakanta of Life Ok became regent meant for men but it was short-lived and it was not explored much. Still she chose herself be the acting regent till her dad gets well rather than making her stepmom, stepbrother or some men of high ranking as regent.

If such things can be shown in costume drama set 1000 tears earlier then why not in shoes set in today's times? Prerna who ran multiple company in early 2000s time period now is reduced to a nanny and a secretary. And the Bhagya shows where 2 out of 4 sister had bad marriage with jerk husbands, 1 died tragically a little later after marriage and 1 remaining I am sure will also gave miserable life. And yes tout if 2 married sisters with jerk husband-one was teacher before marriage who has rockstar singer husband and other was US returned doctor or psychotherapist who is a star cricketer. And these 2 shows are running from years and topping on charts.
