Yeah, I am telling you, a lot went down behind the scenes. I also think the PH was concerned about the actors becoming bigger than the story and this is their way of sizing things down again.

Maybe they didn't even have time to elaborate all the whys and hows while on set on a super tight schedule. It could just be really improvisative and instinctive acting when being in the character.

I am sure that had something to do with it. The last couple of months lacked the fluidity and quality of screenplay that we were used to from the beginning. They just wanted season 1 over and done with ASAP.

With all the missed calls and that single visit, her loneliness seems to be at least partly self inflected and this will weigh her down more than if it was simply by fate. Parents are also different from kids in that they often do not give up the hope that their child will return one day, mature and ready to talk to them.

This must have given him some hints regarding the status of their relationship. He chose to neglect the obvious until he heard her speech and saw the CD. ( even if we neglect CD , her speech was enough to tell him how much she was scared) He lost faith in one relationship that was most important for him.

Thanks for articulating it so well. This is exactly it. He was always there for her but when he backed off, eventually she realized and wanted him as her father. But still, she chose not to say anything.

I'm not blaming either of them. It's just what it is. I also think after being rejected a couple of times by her, he lost the nerve to openly show her how devastating her departure was for him and just how much he wanted that haq which seemed to elude him. Sigh...
