A search for an unfulfilled dream, an eagerness to sail to a far off place, a bit hesitation in between those strong emotional moments... so much is there to share, but in front of her, there is only the stilled water and that leafless life, that nude tree!
She stands in that boat to sail towards that far off place in search of meaning to her life! She was immersed in her thoughts.---
"They say you always lose your first love, you may never find it back, the bliss of marriage may guise it, but the truth is that the first love never leaves. It stays with you throughout your life! That chance encounter was brief. I never remember what we were talked about. All I can recall was how delicate and graceful his hands as he gesture when he speaks! "
On that second encounter, his thoughts got wings and started flying aimlessly!
" The sound of her voice was so pleasing. Her almond- shaped eyes smile when she laughed. There was the bloom of crimson on her damp lips and shades of scarlet on her smooth face. Her scent is heavenly. As if an invisible bouquet of garlands surrounded her. And the way her shiny black shoulder- length hair sway when she moves her head fascinates every onlooker ! She is the most beautiful girl I have ever met. When we parted that afternoon, my heart deserted me and went with her. She was my first love, my life itself"
He slept very little the night they met. He dreams of her with his eyes wide open. He begs God to hurry up the morning. The next day he saw her again and this time they spent a little more time together. He walked with her up to her house and that was the beginning of their many promenades. In their conversations, they discovered they have a lot of things in common, they delighted in each other’s company. They shared stories and laughed a lot. Yet his lack of courage to tell her the truth because of his thought of losing her if he opens up his heart that kept the verses he rehearsed countless nights locked in his mind.
On that chilly December morning, he confessed to her that she is his first love. She looked at him long and deep in the eyes as if searching the truth in what he said. A smile dawned on her face opened the door of emotions to him! Without a word, he took her hand and she allowed him to kiss it. Then she looks down and whispered, she is afraid!! She has never been in love before and doesn't know what to do at that delicate moment! He gently lifted her face. The light of love as dawn sparked in her eyes but in her misty eyes, he saw fear... an innocent fear !
He draws her towards him and for the first time, he put his arms around her. He felt the warmth of her firm body and the tight embrace of her arms on his back. She looks up at him again with a smile, and then they kiss for the very first time!!
A storm touched the shore, the twin boats parted in that storm, time knows everything, but it has no voice to reveal! She stands there alone with that sentimental sojourn down the enchanting lane of memories bygone! She is ready to sail to a far off land!
