Why?both films can't do well?

Chhapaak will do good or bad irrespective of any other release.Looking at the subject 6-7 crs will be a dream.It can have 2-3 more releases..would hardly make a difference.

Now Tanhaji is looking at as big an opening as possible.Trade gives no shyt for Chhapaak.Their interest is Tanhaji.

I agree with you2, chapaak box office depends on its own self and not on other movie.... If people are ready to accept it, it will do well even with tanhaji clash... otherwise even solo release won't help it....

The week it's releasing has two festive holidays ...I think fox is eyeing that but I feel Chhapaak could have clashed with smaller films like shubh mangal , Kargil girl etc...would have attracted more eyeballs and would have been audience's first choice in that weekend...

If the movie is good, no matter how big the competitor is it will survive and even crush the another movie like in the case of Dilwale Vs. Bajirao

Agreed fully. Idc about Tanhaji ( the name is still so funny so disrespectful of the actual warrior Taanaji) but Deepika needs to think about occupancy and the number of shows it will get if they release with a historical. A movie like Chhapaak deserves maximum coverage and change and as many screens it can get. Its more than just the average Bolly fare. This is such an important issue. So she needs to think about how to make it reach maximum amount of people i.e more shows and screens. That can't happen with Tanhaji clash.
