Khushi smiled as she watched Arnav walk over to their table in the cafetaria of DrSatish’s center, and as he placed her tea in front of her and sat down acrossof her, with his coffee , she bent forward and kissed him on the cheek takinghim by surprise as she spoke – “ you are spoiling me way too much…but not thatI complain…”

Arnavsmiled as he sat back in the chair feeling the relief that he had never feltbefore – “well, I do plan do spoil you even more…”

Khushigrinned – “ really??..”, and she continued with a mischevious grin – “ what ifyou start complaining maybe a year down the line stating how pampered andspoilt iv become, then what huh??”

Arnavgrinned – “ well , not that I would ever complain of this, I love to do theselittle things for you, just like I know you love to do all the little thingsyou do, for me each day..”

Khushi sipped her tea as she asked – “ really?? You notice??”

Arnav– “ofcourse, I do, and honestly its your gentle reminder that pops up everydayon my screen that reminds me to take my medicines on time..so lets just promise,that we shall both continue to spoil each other with these little things, andnone of us has the right to complain…”

Khushigrinned – “Im totally kool with that, im not the one who has a complaining geneanyway..”

Arnavgrinned – “ really? So you mean, I do??”

Khushi– “ ok to be fair, you kind off don’t really have the gene, but you are alwayscomplaining about how I don’t have enough time for you…”

Arnav,caught hold of her hand across the table – “ well you know you didn’t, in thepast couple of months, you definitely didn’t, god, how I had to chase you down..”

Khushirolled her eyes – “ ok now you are exaggerating it ok, anyways you know thatwas different, and now it will be different…”

Arnavgrinned – “ yeah, and I really am a happy man about that, im so glad all thehiding bit is over, and if I may ask, will you now just come to me whenever Iwant you too, like say if we are with our families, and all of a sudden I askyou to accompany me to my room for a talk, will you walk up and come immediately?”

Khushigaped at him in mischief – “ god you are shameless, and you will make me justlike you, but to answer you, if you are discreet in the way you ask me too,maybe I will, but if you will embarrass me in front of everyone, then you mightnot get what you wish…”

Arnavgrinned – “ why are you getting so good at your negotiation’s huh?? Lets see, Ipromise not to create scenes often, but after all this torture you have made mego through, maybe once in a while , I will…”

Khushismiled – “maybe, just maybe, id like that…”

Arnav– “ I cant wait for you to be home now, by my side, forever, that’s exactlywhere you belong..”

Khushismiled as she laced her fingers with his and pressed his hand gently – “ I knowwhat you mean, I cant wait too..”

Arnav– “and just so you know, you might find me complaining about one thing even then…”

Khushi– “ huh?? What??”

Arnav– “ about having enough time with you, because no time with you will ever beenough, our forever and always also might not be enough, because id always wantyou more and more, I just know it..”

Khushiseyes locked with his and she spoke softly – “ I love you Arnav…”

Arnavsmiled, he knew all the emotions he had just made her feel made her want to cryand he just wanted to pull her in his arms and take her to a place alone, wherehe could make love to her, because over the past couple of days he had gottenso used to having her by his side all the time, making love to her all night, fallingasleep in her arms, that last night, he had felt really restless not having heraround, but he knew he had to be patient, because of Asad, ofcourse,and so inthis moment he just gave her a smile as put a pause to his lingering thoughts –“ I know you do, but I love you more..”,and he paused as he spoke – “ you know Ihave never felt so relieved, I mean I am so glad about our conversation with DrSatish earlier, and with the happiness shining back on Zoyas face and Asad byher side…”

Khushi,completed the sentence for him – “ I am sure, Zoya will be back on both herfeet, in no time…did you see the love on bhaijaans face, when Zoya let him bewith her in her aquatherapy session?”

Arnavgrinned – “ yes, that’s exactly what I mean, She needed Asad, im glad shefinally admitted it…”

Khushismiled – “ better late than never right…”

Arnav– “ ok, so now that you are done with your tea, Asad and Zoya are really goingto be superbusy all day since Asad wants to be with her in all the sessions today,how about you let me steal you for a while?? Iv gotten no alone time with you…”

Khushigrinned as she looked at her watch – “ there you go complaining again.its 11am,and they will only be free by 4,and we have everyone arriving in by 6 in the evening…soI guess yea I could let you steal me for a while, I will just leave Zoya amessage…”

Arnavgroaned– “ yeah do that, now you know why I say so, just when I thought id beable to have you all to myself, my family decides to come in earlier to surpriseZoya, and then you will get busy with everyone…”

Khushigot up as she laced her arm through his, as they walked out the center – “oho,stop complaing na, we still have like 5 hours to ourselves, ok, I promise, letsdo what you want us to do, what do you have on your mind..??”

Arnavgot in the cab as he pulled her close into him as he whispered in her ears – “im not sure if youd be up for it..?”

Khushi– “ I promise, I will be, we will go exactly where you want us too..”

Arnavgrinned mischeviously as he spoke – “ ok then we go home…”

Khushi– “ huh?? Right now??”

Arnavwhispered in her ears – “ you see , where else will I have the privacy ofmaking love to you, you need to know, how much I missed you last night..”

Khushiblushed a shade of deep crimson, but she cupped his face gently – “ id like toknow that too, and just so you know, I missed you too, I have kinda gotta usedto..”

Arnavkissed her on the nose – “ having me make love to you all night?”

Khushiblushed, but she had gotten bolder,as she spoke – “ yeah that and also, Ivgotten used to sleeping in your arms, and I like to see you the first thing Iwake up..so…”,and before he could say anything, she kissed him.

Arnavcontinued to kiss her mindlessly until, they had the cab driver honk to themthat they had reached their destination and Khushi pulled apart as little embarrassedas she spoke – “ sorry about that…”,and watched Arnav pay the fare and she steppedout, and before she knew it she was hauled up in Arnavs arms, as he quicklymade their way in through the door, and he just closed the door behind them ina jiff, and made his way straight up to the room, closing another door behindthem and layed Khushi down on the bed gently as he whispered, kissing her inbetween – “ god, iv never felt so desperate for anything in my life Khushi, butfor you, I do, its just another story all together…”,and before she knew it hehad started to strip apart both their apparels, continuing to kiss hermindlessly in between, never letting go of her lips, never letting go of hishold on her,and she could only just let him take charge and be his happyprisoner, in the moment.

Khushifought her emotions as she welcomed his kisses and touches, only leaning moreinto him giving him access to her body and soul with everything in her heart,andshe lost all her ability to think as she felt him starting to touch and loveher in the most intimate of ways, driving her insane, making her desperate forhim and she could only pull him by his hair closer into her as she kissed himagain as she whispered – “ I need you, now…”,and just as he entered her, she couldonly look into his eyes as they moved together to the rhythm of their love andpassion as she spoke – “ id always be desperate for you too, Arnav, always…”,andshe knew the emotion that she had just spotted in his eyes as he continued tolove her , made her fall in love with him again, all over again, because he hadjust made her feel like she was the only one he had ever wanted, the only one hewould ever need, the only one he would always be this desperate for, now andforever.

Arhaantook a deep breathe as he silently wiped the tear that was threatening to fallhis eye, as he watched from afar in his car the scene of Arnav carrying Khushiin his arms,through the door of what he knew was Zoya’s home for all thesemonths, kissing her in between and Khushi holding onto him as if he was herworld.It broke his heart, it really did break his heart to see the woman hemadly loved, be so madly in love with another, but he knew there wasn’tanything he could do about his broken heart , because he knew that it was inhis destiny to watch this, it was a punishment for all his crimes, his Life wascoming a full circle and he was being punished for all his sins.

Butthat part of him, that loved Khushi so deeply, and had changed in the processwas also feeling relieved and happy, for if anyone deserved a happily ever afterin this big bad world, he knew it was Khushi, his Khushi, too bad for him thatthings were turning out the way they did. It was sad, that he had fallen inlove with someone who could never really be his, even though he had longed anddreamed for a forever with her, he had always known deep down that it was aprayer that would never be answered, and he also knew that he had no right tocomplain.

Hepressed the reverse gear and turned the car around, and he took a deep breathe,for now he was just happy to see her, even if it was in the arms of another, hewas just happy to feel something in his being, at the mere sight of her .And heknew that this was why he had come here in the first place, he really had torisk it all, for that some more time with Khushi.

Andnow he just had to think of a plan of finally getting her to listen to what hehad to say to her, and for that he needed her to be alone, for he was sureArnav would probably kill him if he spotted him anywhere near Khushi, but healso didn’t want Khushi to be scared of him, that was the last thing he wantedto see in her eyes for him, so he really had to figure out a way about this,and he would.

Heneeded Khushi to know the truth. He knew she was the only one in this whole wideworld who could understand him right now and help him in this situation.

Andmaybe, he would also get the chance to tell her once again, that no matterwhat, he would always love her and only her, he would tell her that she hadreally been the only forever he had ever dreamed off.

Asadwaited patiently in Dr Satish’s cabin, just as he was asked too. Zoya was fresheningup, and he was really happy that she had let him be with her all day today in alltherapies and sessions, not afraid to be vulnerable in front of him, not afraidto shed all the guards off about the real situation with her, and he was stillin that trail of thought as he saw Dr Satish enter in and walk up giving him awarm smile, finally taking his seat and he spoke – “ well, id like to thankyou, for being here with us today, iv just spoken to all my therapists involvedin Zoya’s case, they couldn’t believe the intent and heart she put in thesessions today, and id like to conclude that you being here is very much the onlyreason why we have seen the change that we have seen today…”

Asadgave him a small smile – “ thank you, for letting me be with her and you arevery kind, but tell me truly, do they really think what you just said, or areyou just saying it to make me feel better??”

DrSatish smiled – “ well, no, I am being honest, if she continues to be how sheis today, I can very confidentally tell you, that Zoya will be back on both herfeet in no less than three to four months for now, a situation which I wasfearing till yesterday might take years….”

Asadfelt relief like he had never felt – “ really??? You think so????”

DrSatish smiled – “ I know so…the happiness in the heart is always important, andI knew that the biggest hindrance in her recovery was that, she wasn’t happy,her heart wasn’t in it….but today, it’s a different side of Zoya that iv seen,your prescene kinda makes her want to blossom again..”

Asadcouldn’t believe the torture Zoya had put herself through because she loved himso much, but he chucked the thought aside, he would not think of the past likehe promised Zoya, they both would now only look ahead , and he spoke – “ wellim just happy that she will have me back, and I will help you in every way I can…”

DrSatish – “ just be with her as much as you can,give her time, your support andlove for now that’s all is needed…”

Asadnodded – “ I will, that is precisely why I am here…”

DrSatish – “ look to be honest, I would want her to be here with us for atleast fourmonths more, and I know that’s a lot of time, and I know you have work back inIndia,so talk it out between the two of you, and plan this out…”

Asadsmiled – “ I will, I will be here with her as much as I can, maybe only go backfor mini breaks in between, let me talk to her, she has to be ok with this too right,you know her, shes stubborn..she wont let me just forget everything else…”

DrSatish grinned – “ oh yes, im aware of that stubborn gene ofcourse, iv seen itand Abir talks to me all the time how hes never seen anyone more stubborn thanZoya…”,and he paused as he spoke softly – “ id like to thank you doe helping myson out with the girl he loves..”

Asadsmiled – “ you know??”

DrSatish grinned – “ ofcourse I know, do you see how much my son talks, theresnothing in his life that me or his mother aren’t aware off...”, and he pausedas he spoke – “ but he only told us about her a couple of days back, and theway he spoke about her I knew Yana hadhis heart always, and it all fit in as to why he never really moved on, so am justhappy he got a second chance to make things right…”

Asad– “ you are a amazing father, Dr Satish, Abir is lucky, I lost my father veryyoung, so I know how much your support and guidance would mean to him..and onthat note if you don’t mind me asking, you and aunty don’t have issues with thefact that Yana is divorced…?”

DrSatish sighed – “ well id be a hypocrite to have a problem, because we areaware of the casual flings Abir has been involved with over time, all that mattersis what two people feel for each other in the end, if they love each other andare able to find happiness and home in each other or not, and if they are, thenthey should just stick together and build a life for themselves, becausenothing is more precious than having a forever and always with the one you love,with the one who make your heart glow in happiness…”

Asad smiled,as he nodded – “well maybe, idslip this information to Yana, that she will have your blessings if she doesdecide to explore her feelings…I think she is sceptical about the familys reactionto her divorce…”

DrSatish grinned – “ ofcourse, why do you think I told you about this in thefirst place?”

Rightthen Zoya walked in through the door and she spoke with a smile on her face – “and you never grin at me the way you are grinning at Asad here, uncle, how unfair…”

DrSatish grinned back – “ well he is the love and light of your life , isn’t he??So why not??”

Asadsmiled at that – “ just like Zoya is the love and Light of my Life…”,and heheard Dr Satish say – “ Zoya, let him be with you ok, now I know exactly whatwas missing in this road to recovery…”

Zoyasmiled as she sat next to Asad and laced her hand through his as she spoke – “ Iknow, now that I have him, I know exactly what I had been missing…”

DrSatish grinned – “ better late than never isn’t it??and now id like to discussthe next plan for Zoyas therapies…”

Asadpressed Zoyas hand warmly and they both returned their attention to Dr Satishas he started discussing with them the changes he now wanted to include in Zoyastreatment.

Asadslipped into the backseat next to Zoya, and he immediately felt her snuggle upclose into him as she placed her head on his shoulder , lacing her hands intohis at the same time as she spoke softly – “ I should have done this a longtime ago, Asad,I really should have, I am so sorry , I really am…”

Asadkissed her hand briefly as he whispered – “ I don’t want you looking back ok,remember we promised, we will only look ahead, together, into our future..”

Zoyanodded – “ your right, we’v wasted too much time already being apart, its timewe look ahead…and now tell me how do you want to go about this??i know I needto be here for atleast four more months, and I also don’t want you to give upon work back at home, ill feel too guilty about it, because I know from Khushiand bhai that after the merger its like the two of you have been completelyjamm packed with work…so …”

Asadlooked at her – “ and what makes you think that anything else will be moreimportant than you, in the moment Zoya?? I will talk to Arnav once we are backhome and see to it…”

Zoyanodded – “ ok, talk to bhai, but promise me you will try to make a balance asin maybe visit me every two weeks for a week or so?? That would be ok for now,because I know this is important to you taking ARK to newer heights, its likeyour own way of making up for the time lost in the past, isn’t it??”

Asadlooked at her in surprise, as there eyes locked, how did she know this?? He hadn’tspoken this thought out to anyone, and here, she had just read it off his mindand he asked – “ how do you know??”

Zoyasmiled as she kissed his hand – “ I know you Asad, us being apart didn’t changethat even one bit…”

Asadsmiled – “ I was right all along wasn’t I then?”

Zoya– “ about??”

Asad– “ that I knew a long time ago, that you were the one who was made for me, youare the only one who can understand me the way you do, you always did, and you alwaysloved me, always forgave me for my blunders, always had it in your heart tolook past it all…”

Zoyasmiled – “ just like you are the one made for me, and im so glad im finallylistening to my heart here, but you promise me, you will not give up onanything, we will balance this out, work things out??”

Asadnodded – “ ok, I agree, we will work it out, as the time flows , don’t worry…”

Zoyasmiled – “ and I promise to take your absence as a very good incentive that everytimeyou will come back to visit, you will see me better than before, I promise, andone fine day, I will come running into your arms on both my feet…”

Asadsmiled, his eyes swimming with a million emotions as it locked with Zoya’s ashe spoke – “ id love that, and im sure that day will come around very soon, ifyou believe it will Zoya, that’s all you gotta do, don’t give up on hope, and believein yourself, I am with you now, I will be with you always , and forever…”

Zoyasmiled as she saw the cab driver pull in front of her home – “ a Forever withYou, is exactly what I need..”, and Asad closed the remaining distance betweentheir lips, pulling her to himself for a brief but passionate kiss.

Khushireached out of Arnav’s arms and picked up her phone from the side desk, and sheheard Arnav groan in the absence as he asked with a yawn – “ did you really puta alaram Khushi??”

Khushichecked her phone– “ ofcourse, I had too, im not risking myself being embarrassedin front of bhaijaan for the rest of mylife, cmon, they should be here in 15 minutes, Zoya just messaged me…and I amsuper hungry, and you cannot not eat too, you gotta…”

Arnavpropped up on his elbow as he spoke – “ I know I know, I gotta watch my insulin…”,andhe continued with a smile,as he saw Khushi starting to dress up and he placedboth his arms under his arms enjoying his view and he saw Khushi lock her eyeswith his as she mischeviously threw a pillow back at him – “god, stop it, willyou please…?”

Arnavgrinned as he saved himself from the blow of the pillow, but got up starting todress himself – “ well just so you know its been ages literally like decades,since I have taken a afternoon nap, I can never get any sleep during the day,but I was in your arms maybe that’s why, because you make me feel so much peace…”

Khushiwalked upto him and pulled him into a hug – “ I like how youv become so vocalabout what you feel…Its really starting to grow on me you know, you beingexpressive….”

Arnavheld on to her for a few seconds as he whispered, his voice full of emotion – “I promised the Gods, that I would spend every moment of my life telling you howmuch I love you, if they gave you back to me from that horrific life support…”

Khushihugged him hard, as she whispered – “ I had to fight it, did I ever tell you ,it was your voice that was the first I had recalled when I was swininging inbetween consciousness and being sedated??”

Arnav– “ really??”

Khushi– “ really it was, and I knew it by that tone, I could sense it that you hadbeen praying like you had never prayed for anyone in your life…”

Arnavkissed her forehead, at the memory and he spoke – “ ofcourse, I had been Khushi,you coming back to me was what strengthened my belief that their really was aGod out there, listening to my prayers, and I thank them every moment, for answeringmy prayers…”

Khushiknew he was getting emotional, and so she pulled back , wanting to make themoment light acting as if she was waving a wand at him as she spoke – “ ArnavSingh Raizada is truly madly deeply in love, and he has faith in God, I had noclue my love wand had the power to make the impossible happen…”

Arnavchuckled, only she could make him laugh at the moment as emotional as this andhe pulled her in and started to tickle her and heard her break into squeals oflaughter, and they both lost themselves in the moment of happiness, and it tookthem a while as Khushi caught hold of her breathe as she spoke – “ok, now my stomach is literally rumbling,cmon ill fix us something to eat…”,and Arnav just let her take his hand, andtake him down the stairs as she then gestured him to sit across on the table asshe started to fix them sandwiches and he just silently watched her, and heknew he had been right all along, a forever with her was exactly what heneeded.

Rightthen the door opened and they saw Asad walk in with Zoya behind him, and Arnavwatched with a smile as he saw Asad watching out for Zoya as he walked next toher outta the corner of his eye, but he didn’t help her with it, he just lether do it on her own, and he could easily see the increase in Zoyas pace andconfidence and he silently looked at Asad and gestured him a thank you as he watchedZoya join in Khushi in the kitchen as she asked – “ Khushi you need help??”

Khushigrinned as she looked back – “ well kind off, and I hope the two of are hungrytoo??”

Asadsmiled as he sat on the stool next to Arnav, as he spoke – “ not really…me andZoya had a good lunch after the sessions finished..however, we know thateveryone will be here soon, so lets do some prep, for them??”

Arnavgrinned as he rolled up his sleeves , watching Asad do the same, and Zoya andKhushi turned to look at the two of them and smiled – “ you will help us cooksomething??”

Asadgrinned – “ ofcourse, we used to cook together all the time, when we were studyingin London…”

Arnavnodded as he took Khushi by her shoulders and made her sit on the stool andwatched Asad do the same to Zoya – “ infact why don’t the two of you just sitand watch…”

Khushigrinned as she looked at Zoya settling in the stool next to her as they bothspoke in unison – “now that’s a sight we would really like to enjoy…”

Zoyawaited in anticipation as she looked at her phone – “ di said she would be hereby 6, its already 30 mins over…”

Khushi– “ oh cmon, they must have made a quick stop on the way…”

Arnavand Asad were discussing work and Arnav was helping Asad plan his schedule tosqueeze in the time he would need to spend here with Zoya and it was right thenthe doorbell went off, and Khushi walked with Zoya to the door as she let Zoyaopen the door, and the minute she did, she smiled as she saw Zoya being pulledin for a crushing hug by Anjali di, Akash, Payal and Shyam Jiju, one by one.

Whatfollowed next was a crazy reunion sort scene as everyone couldn’t help but jumpin the happiness at the news of Asad and Zoya’s reunion, and as they all sat , laughed,talked and ate together, Khushi stepped to the kitchen to fill in therefreshments and right then she saw Payal step in next to her to help her, andthey talked a little as they walked back to everyone and placed therefreshments on the table right when Asad and Arnav exclaimed , that the entirefeast had been prepped up for, by them.

Payalcouldn’t believe her ears as she asked out loud – “ really?? The two of you didthis?? Unbelievable…”

Shyamgrinned as he took another bite of the delicious pasta – “ unbelievable indeed,and to think of it I haven’t tasted my saale saabs culinary skills in all theseyears, what a shame…”

Rightthen Payals eyes immediately fell on Khushi’s ring on her finger as she exclaimedin shock – “ wait, wait, wait….khushi is that a ring I see on your finger???”,andshe looked at Shyam jiju in worry, and he looked at Khushi’s hand in Payalshands, their hopes crashing of playing cupid between Arnav and Khushi as heasked – “ what does that mean Khushi?? Have you been seeing someone??”

Payallooked at Anjali and Akash and the amused expressions on their faces as theypassed on silent gestures to each other, everyone in the room had a small smileon their face, only Asad had a solemn expression on his face, and Shyam turnedto Asad as he spoke – “ Asad, are you letting you sister act on impulse again??How is it that she engaged within days of what we last saw her?? How is thispossible??”

Payalnodded in agreement as she asked, worry loaded in her voice – “ and who is thisperson who has just propped into your life out of nowhere??”

Anjali.Akash, Zoya and Asad tried to control their laugh, as Arnav finally gestured toKhushi that she play along and that he got this, so Khushi just hide her veryown smile as she saw Payal take her hand again gesturing towards her ring – “ Khushiplease tell me this is a joke, I cant believe how no one else in this room isgetting worked up about this??”,and she looked at the silent faces of everyonein the room and she couldn’t believe it as she asked taking a deep breathe – “are you serious about this?? Are you really thinking about this?? Getting married??And cmon answer me now, who are you getting married too???”

Shyamnodded and he couldn’t understand the calm silence in the air but he walked upand sat next to Payal on the table in front of the sofa where Khushi was seatedand he heard himself ask with concern, he had really looked at Khushi as alittle sister – “ why aren’t you saying anything Khushi?? Arnavhad been enjoying the moment a lot, and he knew everyone in the room knew aboutthe secret love story of Khushi and him apart from the two people who sat withvery distressed faces in front of Khushi asking her to answer them,and sofinally he took a deep breathe, as he smiled at Anjali and Zoya, winked at Asadand Akash and finally slipped at the empty seat next to Khushi, putting his armaround her shoulder as he looked at Shyam jiju and Payal as he exclaimed – “well,that would be me…”

Shyamlooked at Payal in shock,as she mirrored his expression and he heard her ask inshock – “ bhai, what does this mean?? What do you mean??”

Arnavgrinned – “ well to answer you, you wanted to know who Khushi is marrying,whose the one that’s put the ring on her finger right??”,and he saw Payal nodso he spoke pulling Khushi into him as she placed her head on his shoulder andsmiled, gesturing him to go on – “ so that’s what im telling you, that person wouldbe me…”,and he paused as he saw realisation of what he was saying dawn on Shyamand Payal and he saw them smile at each other and he asked amused – “ I mean isn’tthis what the two of you wanted?? Play cupid between me and Khushi…cmon jiju, didn’tyou just tell di, that Khushi is exactly what I need in Life??”

Shyamnodded through his smile – “ yeah…ofcourse, but I didn’t expect you to acceptit too soon…”

Payal– “exactly….my point…”,and she looked at Arnav and Khushi confused.

Andright then everyone in the room burst into squeals of laughter as Anjali walkedupto Shyam and Akash walked upto Payal, each side hugging their spouse asAnjali spoke – “ im so sorry, I couldn’t tell you…”

Payallooked at Akash as he spoke – “ im sorry too…”, and she asked – “ tell uswhat??”

Arnavsmiled as he saw Khushi take Payals hand , and he held his jijus hand as hespoke – “ that Khushi and me have been in love with each other for a long longtime now…so you didn’t actually need to play cupid in between of us…destinyalready did that for us, a long long time ago…”

Shyamtuned to look at Asad, who stood silently with a arm around Zoyas shoulder,with a huge grin on his face, enjoying the scene and he asked – “ even youknew??? Please tell me, we aren’t the only ones who didn’t know…”

Asadgrinned – “well if that makes you feel any better, I just found out a day ago…”

Payalsquealed in excitement – “and you are ok with this obviously??”

Asadnodded – “ ofcourse…..”

Payallooked at Akash with a mischevious glint – “ omg , omg, I am so excited…”

Shyamgrinned , feeling relieved, as he caught hold of his wifes hand as he asked Arnavand Khushi – “and the elders will know soon, right??”

Khushismiled – “ yes, as soon as we are back…”

Zoyagrinned as she finally walked over to everyone – “ ofcourse, but cmon, yougotta give me three to four months, until im back on both my feet, so that I candance all night at the wedding of two of my most favourite people…”,she finishedas she laced an arm from behind each on Arnav and Khushi’s shoulder.

Asadsmiled as he walked up to everyone and stood next to Zoya as he announced – “specialday indeed, and that would also be the day, you would stand next to me as mywife, rightly where you belong…”

Zoyafelt everyone go silent as she looked at Asad in surprise – “ Asad??”

Asadlooked at everyone – “well, I know the annulment went through and everything...butunlike the last time,this time around id like to have a consent from Zoya’sfamily, before I ask her to be my wife…again…”

Hesaw everyone give him a positive nod, with happiness shining on their faces andhe finally took out the ring Zoya had returned to him a while ago, and he puthis hand on her waist , pulling her closer – “Zoya, will you marry me, again??”

Zoyacould only nod in response, as happy tears fell off her eyes and she saw Asadslip down her ring back on her hand, and watched him kiss her on it as hewhispered – “ its finally back to where it belongs…I love you Zoya…”

Zoyapulled him into a hug, as she held on to him tight – “ I love you too, I alwaysdid, always will, now and forever…”

Anjalilooked at Akash and Payal share a warm side hug, Arnav kiss Khushi on her handas he pulled her closer next to him and Asad and Zoya embrace, and she finallyturned to her husband with happy tears in her eyes as she spoke – “ I need tothank God, for this day, for this moment…im so happy for them..”

Shyamgrinned as he pulled his wife into a crushing hug – “im so happy too…”

10.00PM – at a Italian Resturant near Zoyas cottage

Abirlooked at Yana as she looked at him speechless as she asked – “ I cant believe youwant us to be together again?? What does this even mean?? Look you have clearlymisunderstood my hanging out with you, im leaving…”,and with that she ran outthe door.

Abirgroaned, he hadn’t wanted to ask her this outright today, he wanted to give itsome more time, but they had lost out on so much time already, and he hadalways gone with his gut, so he just gestured to the manager that he will beback to settle the cheque and ran after Yana, as he watched her standing in theparking lot taking deep breathe as he walked upto her and he asked – “ you wanarun again? Fine, ill come after you this time,because unlike the last time, I willnot let you vanish into thin air…”

Yanaturned around as she spoke – “ yeah you think this is some game huh?? Its notfunny Abir, what part of Im not the same anymore you don’t understand?? Im toobroken, too shattered to even wanting to explore my emotions, I cant…”

Abirhad had enough as he pulled her closer into him – “ you can, and you will, imhere right?? Itll be ok, we will be ok, just give us a chance..”

Yanafelt her mind surrender as she asked – “ why are you doing this to me??”

Abir– “ Because I am in Love you..even after all this while, I love you, and I wantyou, only you, what part of that you don’t understand, and I know you love metoo, I just know it”

Yanalooked at him shocked – “ you what???”,and she spanked his arm in rage – “whoare you to decide what I feel huh?? Speak for yourself, not for me, I don’t loveyou, I stopped loving you a long time ago…Abir Raichand, stop acting as if theentire world revolves around you for it doesnt”, and she started to leave.

Hepulled her by the arm back into his frame – “ you know your world does, justlike my world revolves around you…”

Yanalooked at him – “you are crazy?? Youv lost your marbles or what?? Im done withthis emotion…please don’t do this to me right now, let me go…”, but he wouldn’tlet her go, and she finally felt the tears that were threatening to leave hereyes make their way down,as she broke down in his arms as she hit him with bothher hands again and again on his chest as she spoke – “ you cant do this tome?? You cant just walk in to my life again and turn it upside down, you cant…”

Abirtook her hands into his as he pulled her into a hug – “ I already have, haven’ti??I can see it in your eyes…give me a chance please???”

Yanapulled back as she wiped her tears – “ give me some time? Please?? I need tothink about this..”

Abirsmiled as he pulled her into another hug, she didn’t pull away that felt good –“take your time, no worries…haven’t I been waiting for you forever already??”

Yanalooked at him speechless – “ huh??what do you mean??”

Abirsmiled – “ you are the only one my heart wants a forever with,Yana, and its timeyou knew that…”,and with that he finally broke away from her intense eyelock ashe spoke – “ here take the keys of my car and sit in, ill just go settle thecheque, and join you back in a couple of minutes??”

Yananodded in silence and took the keys and made her way to the car.

Abirwalked back in and right then he bumped into someone,and he exclaimed – “imsorry …”and he saw the stranger drop his phone,and he immediately helped himpick it up,and by mistake he pressed the home button on this strangers phoneand he caught a glimpse of the homescreen, weird because the girl on thisstrangers screen really resembled Khushi, but before he could look again, thestranger had muttered a “its ok..”and given him a small smile and made his wayout.Abir looked back to the strangers back confused, and then he shrugged thethought aside, maybe it was someone else, he was too absent minded right now topay any further attention, and so he walked to the manager to settle the chequeand leave.

Zoyarubbed her knee, as she saw Khushi step out the bathroom and she saw her sit onthe bed next to her – “ hey, you ok??iv been noticing that the knee has beengiving you a problem today??”

Zoyasmiled – “ no, ya ofcourse not, I feel something which is a good thing, maybe Ijust over did in my sessions today in my excitement, itll be ok, don’t worryok?”

Khushirolled her eyes – “ how can I not worry, you know we have a full day plannedwith everyone tomorrow, you need to be ok for that, I don’t want you to missit, how about I get you the analgesic ointment from the pharmacy across theroad, you didn tell me its open till midnight, isn’t it??”

Zoyalooked at her – “ no way Khushi, you worry too much for me…im alright…and illjust ask bhai or Asad too…”

Khushi– “ no way, you know Aman wouldn’t have had them on this conference call if it wasn’timportant, I am already too guilty, that I haven’t been letting Arnav do muchwork for all these days, and with bhaijaan here too, Im sure its somethingimportant, its not right to disturb them…you just wait, ok…ill be back in 5mins…”

Zoyagroaned – “ you wont listen to me ever now, fine, be quick though…”

Khushismiled – “ be back in 5 minutes…”

Zoyanodded,and she watched Khushi make her out their room.

Khushiwalked out the cottage,and she tightened the stoll on her shoulders, it wasbreezy.she felt so happy, so relieved, so free in that moment and she started swayingin her pace as she hummed to herself,everything was perfect, just perfect, andshe was basking in the happy memories of earlier today as she walked turnedtowards the pharmacy around the block,and just as she took the turn,she feltsomeone tug on her hand from behind, and she almost thought it was Arnav whohad come after her, and she smiled to herself as she prepared herself for hisscolding for walking out this late in the night, and she spoke – “ Arnav….I…”,andshe felt shock and fear go through her as she realised, this touch wasn’t his,and just as she registered in the sight of who it was, she felt fear like she hadn’tfelt in a long time,and before she could say anything she felt Arhaan place hishand on her mouth to stop her from screaming as he eased his hold on her andspoke softly – “shhh, Khushi, its just me…Arhaan, please don’t scream…please??”

Khushifelt him pick up his hand from her mouth and she steadied her breathe as sheasked – “ why are you here?? I thought I made myself clear…”

Arhaantook a deep breathe as he spoke – “ yes, but I had to see you…”

AndKhushi found herself tremble in fear as she asked softly – “ youv been stalkingme?? That can be the only explanation of you knowing my whereabouts??”

Arhaanspoke to his defense as he tried to touch her hand – “ I don’t have any otheroption Khushi, I just had to find you…please will you listen to me..please…????”

ButKhushi couldn’t register anything as she felt her head spin, as the anxiety,the fear of that day she had been shot came back to haunt her, and she felt herhead spin, and she could only muster – “ Ar..na..v…”,before she felt her mindgo blank and she fainted.

Arhaanhadn’t expected this at all, he hadn’t expected Khushi to blank out, and heknew this wasn’t good for her health, as well, because it had only been some monthsfrom her recovery, he couldn’t risk her mind not receiving any oxygen, and sohe immediately gathered her in his arms and ran with her back into his car,made her lie back on the backseat, and he splashed some water on her face, andhe immediately got in front of the wheel, and started to drive, he couldn’t takeher back to Zoyas cottage, not now, he needed to her to be ok, and then heneeded her to be alone with him,and so he immediately drove towards the cottagehe had rented out which wasn’t very far away from here.

Zoyalooked at watch, it had been ten minutes since Khushi had left and she calledher phone, but she didn’t answer, maybe she was entering back home, and so Zoyagot up from bed, and made her way to check for Khushi, and just as she steppedout the door, she saw the door of the other room open and Asad and Arnavstepped out and she heard Asad ask – “ where are you going?? I asked you torest na Zoya, youv already exerted yourself too much today…and if you werecoming to look for me…”

Arnavsmiled – “ sorry our conference call just ended, it was kind off important…”

Zoyalooked at the two of them as she gave them a small smile – “ we figured, that’swhy this stupid Khushi didn’t let me trouble you both, and she went out herself,I was just going to check if she is back…”

Arnavlooked at his sister confused as he heard Asad ask – “ Khushi?? Where did shego??”

Zoyalooked at the two worried faces in front of her as she spoke – “my knee hasbeen acting up, Khushi was worried, she went to the pharmacy around the block,its open till midnight to get me that analgesic ointment, id run out of stock…”

Andbefore knew it she saw her brother run down the stairs at the speed of light – “dammitKhushi…is she insane?? What does she think shes doing..”

Asadimmediately scooped up Zoya in his arms as he hurried down the stairs with herand he heard Arnav speak as he made his way to the door – “ Asad, im sorry, butI really need to give Khushi a piece of my mind…”

Asadnodded in agreement – “ we both need to…”and he heard Zoya whisper softly – “im sorry, I shouldn’t have let her go…”

Arnavlooked at his sister feeling guilty and he spoke, shrugging his worry aside – “don’t worry, I will probably run into her as soon as I step out…”,and shenodded as she looked at Asad – “ go with him please, ill be right here…”

Arnavfelt his worry rise as he stepped out and Asad was immediately behind him, ashe started to look around towards the bend of the roads on both sides, and helooked at Asad in worry and Asad mirrored a similar expression as he spoke indistress, because he knew the thought that had just come to his friends mind – “don’t, don’t let your mind go there, shes probably just on her way back, letsgo to the pharmacy?”

Arnavnodded in silence, as they started racing up towards the pharmacy, and Arnavtried to calm his nerves, as he told his mind to not make him think of theworse.He couldn’t believe he was experiencing the similar panic, that he hadhoped to never face again all his life.

Theyreached the pharmacy and they both rushed in and Arnav asked the person at thehelpdesk showing him Khushis picture – “hi…could you please tell me if she washere a couple of minutes earlier to take a analgesic ointment??”

Thehelper looked at them and at the picture as he spoke – “ no, I haven’t seen her…”

Asadlooked at Arnav in panic as he heard him ask – “ are you sure, is there someoneelse with you on duty who was probably at the counter when she came in. if youcould ask them??”

TheHelper – “ no, its just me on duty post 10pm everyday, and iv been here, no onehas come in…”

Asad– “ hows this even possible??”,and they both rushed out, as Asad quickly rangup Zoya to ask if Khushi was home.

Arnavwatched Asad speak to Zoya for a quick second, and the expression on his facesaid it all, Khushi wasn’t at home yet, and she hadn’t come here, and rightthen Arnav felt his insides grip in fear, as he had that annoying feeling inhis gut that told him something wasnt right and he looked at Asad in distressand fear – “ it couldn’t be him right??”

Asaddidn’t want to even think over that possibility as he spoke, now the fearstarting to grip him as well – “ it shouldn’t be, oh god, Khushi, where are youdammit?”

Abirwas just driving back home after dropping Yana off and he was glad she hadcalmed down and that she was willing to give him a chance atleast. He smiled tohimself, he was glad he offered to make her the coffee she had loved the tasteof, in the past off, for his experience of working as a part time barista inhis college days was something he had cherished, and not only that, Yana wasaddicted to the taste of his handmade beaten coffee.Glad she had let him bewith her for some more time, and he was lost in that thought, right when hespotted a very distressed Asad and Arnav almost running back into theircottage, and he stopped at the side of the road, and slid the window down as hecalled out to the two of them, but they were already half way in, so they didn’thear him, so he quickly parked his car, and made his way towards Zoyas cottage,he could sense by the look on their faces that something wasn’t right.

Arnavand Asad had just stepped back into the cottage as they came face to face witha worried Zoya as she asked tears falling down her face – “ where is she? Pleasetell me you found her??”

Asadheld her by the shoulders – “no we didn’t, but we will, calm down…”

Arnavpunched his fist into the wall in frustration as he exclaimed – “ dammit, dammit,dammit…”, and he continued to punch it , until he felt Asad and Zoya both holdhis hands on either side.

Andright then they saw Abir step in from the door as he said – “ hey..i was on myback home, I saw the two of you run in, something didn’t feel right, I thoughtto check in, is everything ok??”, but just as he registered in the sight on thethree faces in front of him, he knew that something was wrong, terriblywrong,and he asked now worried – “ hey , what happened…??”

Zoyaexplained through the tears – “ Khushi…she stepped out a while ago to get me amedicine from the pharmacy at the bend of the road…and she hasn’t come back…”

Asad– “she isn’t taking our calls…we cant find her, we looked all around…”

Arnavraked a hand through his hair in frustration , and then banged his fist in the wallagain, in panic and fury, because once again, he was feeling something that wasmaking his heart go numb in fear.

Andright then Abir recalled what he had seen on the strangers phone he had bumpedinto at the restaurant and he asked the three of them – “ has anyone everstalked Khushi before??”

Arnavlooked at Asad and Zoya, and they both gestured to him that none of them hadever revelaed anything about the gruesome past to Abir so why was he askingthis so he asked – “ what do you mean???”

Abirshrugged – “ it may not mean anything, but a while ago as I was leaving fromdinner, I kind of bumped into someone, and they dropped their phone, and as I pickedit up for him, I kind of spotted a wallpaper on the homescreen and the picturesdid make me feel weird because the pictures seemed like they were that ofKhushi…”

Arnavfelt his insides freeze as he understood the implications behind Abirs words andhe heard Zoya ask – “ are you sure?? Did you get a clear look??”

Abir– “ now that I think of it, I was distracted then, but yes I think it was offKhushi…”,and just as he finished saying that, he saw the three of themliterally freeze in front of them as he heard them say in unison – “ Farhaan….”

Abirlooked at them – “Farhaan who??”

Zoyatook a deep breathe as she quickly opened her phone and searched from a pictureof Khushi and arhaan together from the past and she shoved her phone in frontof Abir – “ is this who he was?? The one you bumped into…”

Abirlooked at the picture – “ yes, that’s him…what about him, so he’s a friend of Khushi’s?”

Asadspoke with fear in his voice – “ hes not a friend, hes a criminal, hes a bloodymurderer, and I cant believe, hes got his hands on my sister again…”

Arnavlooked at Asad as he spoke with rage and panic both in his voice – “ I willkill him this time Asad, I swear I will kill him, and you will not stop me…god,just if he does something to Khushi, my Khushi, Khushiiii…”

Zoyapanicked but she explained – “ no , he wont, im sure he wont do something toher, he loves her way too much for that, I know that, I remember what I sawthat day, he would rather die than hurt Khushi, so calm down both of you…”,andshe looked at Abir as she spoke – “ Abir will you get the rest of my familymembers here,from the hotel?”

Abirnodded, and he rushed out and he asked – “ do you want me to call the cops?iknow them here..??”

Arnavand Asad panicked as they spoke together – “ No…no…that would be putting her indanger…”

Zoyalooked at Asad and Arnav, as she asked – “ I can talk to him, if you allow?”

Asadturned to her – “ to Farhaan?”

Zoyanodded – “ he was on all my messengers then I blocked him for obvious reasons, Ican unblock him and message him and ask him outright??”

Asad– “ will he tell us the truth?? Why will he? If his intentions are any goodwhich I highly doubt they are, then why has he taken her?”

Zoya– “ we aren’t sure, right? And we cant be until we ask??”,and she looked atArnav – “bhai, If you say ok, I will??”

Arnavlooked at a distraught Asad, and they both knew that right now ,they didn’t haveany other option, but to contact that bloody criminal themselves.

Arhaanlooked at his assistant Sia, as he asked the nurse – “she will be ok right?? Whyisn’t she waking up??”

Thenurse looked at the worried face of the man, who she had met not very long ago,and she took a deep breathe as she spoke – “shes ok, her vitals are normal, don’tworry, something sent her into shock, I have given her minor sedation, she willbe up in an hour or so??”,and she paused as she looked at Arhaan – “ should I leave??”

Arhaanlooked at Sia as he spoke – “ No, Sia, please be with her, for while downstairs, I want you to wait untilKhushi wakes up, just incase, I don’t want to risk her health at any cost”

Thenurse nodded as she walked out with Sia as she closed the door to Arhaan’s room,as she asked Sia – “ is she the one you were telling me about??”

Sianodded with a solemn expression on her face – “ yes, she is the one…”,and sheclosed the door behind as they made their way down.

Arhaantook a seat on the chair,and dragged it to Khushi’s side, and he just sat there,in silence as he watched a sleeping but stable Khushi in front of him, and hetook the moment to hold her hand gently,as he whispered – “ im sorry, im sosorry…”,and the tears started to fall from his eyes, and he let go of her handsas he wiped his tears,it really broke his heart that it had come to this.

Hecomposed himself and just sat in silence watching Khushi in front of him, becausehe knew these were the moments that would add to his memories, because thescene would be very different when Khushi woke up.

Hereally did love her with all his heart, she was the only one who had been in hiswishes for a long time now, but he knew that those prayers weren’t going to beanswered anyway.

Hefought his tears as he continued watching her sleep,as he prepared himself forthe talk, he knew he was going to have to do, once she woke up,and he knew hehad to make her listen to him, and not run out of his reach.

Hehad no time forever,all he had were these precious few minutes,that he couldfinally feel the peace that it had been longing for, because the sight ofKhushi in front of him did that to him, make him feel that there really wassomeone out there, he could look at and finally feel as if he was home.

Lovefelt her eyes flutter open,and she looked at herself cuddled in Hate’s arms,and the memory of what had transpired between them came back to hit her, andright then she saw Hate open his eyes, and as he looked at her expression heasked cautiously – “ please don’t tell me, you are regretting what happened?”

Loveshrugged as she gave him a smile – “no silly, I would never regret whathappened between of us, but im just wondering why no one has come looking forus yet, I mean we are at work,and in the storage room, and we have been herefor quite sometime..”

Hatepropped up on his elbow and sat up against the file cabinet, and gestured Loveto join him, and he watched Love, place her head on his shoulder , as sheplaced her hand in the middle of his chest,making everything inside of him flipas she spoke softly, tears in her eyes– “ I think its time to leave…”

Hateheld her hand as he spoke – “ not yet, and just so you know, no one will come forus today..so stay with me for some more time..please??”

Love– “ what do you mean??no one is looking for us yet??”

Hate– “well no, because I knew of the surprise party Happiness was throwing, andeveryones busy there…”

Lovelooked at him – “and you didn’t want to crash and spoil it??”

Hatesighed – “ a part of me wanted to, but I also knew that this was the onlychance I could get you to be completely alone with me, without having to worryabout anything else, I knew I had to choose…”

Lovelooked at him in surprise – “ and you chose…”

Hatenodded – “ yes, I chose you…”,and he gave her mischevious smile – “don’t thinkthis was all about you, it was something that I needed to do for myself tofigure things out, it just had to be that I needed you to be a part of it..”

Lovesmiled, trust hate to come up with something like this,and she asked – “ ok, sohave you figured it out??what you wanted too??”

Hatelooked at her as their eyes locked in an intense eye lock – “ yeah, I have…andI want to ask you,you have known this for a while now haven’t you?? You couldsense it right??”

Loveasked – “sense what??”

Hate– “ that I was being forced by something inside of me to explore whatever itwas I feeling towards you, its strange, but its true, I don’t know what is itthat ties me to you, I cant name this, but I know, and I accept that myexistence kind off revolves around you…it depends on you…”

Lovesighed – “ I know, what you mean, im sorry you had to go through all thisturmoil for so so so long…”

Hatesighed – “ maybe it had to be this way, maybe I was supposed to figure thingsout this way…”

Lovenodded, in silence, as she watched Hate hold her hand tenderly, kissing it, andshe didn’t say anything and heard him ask – “ just like I also know, why youwere trying to run out of my reach all this while?”

Love– “ you know??”

Hatenodded – “figured it out, its because we aren’t meant to be, its impossible isn’tit?? My existence is programmed differently, my dna is different, im supposedto exist for a different purpose…”

Lovenodded with tears in her eyes ,as she cupped Hates face tenderly– “ its heartbreaking, I know, but its an inevitabletruth, its just something that’s never meant to be…”,and she kissed his forheadtenderly, as she spoke – “but no matter what the laws say, you are a part of myexistence too, of my soul, and you always will be, for in my heart I know, I cannever let you go…Im sorry that this is how its supposed to be…I really am…”

Hatepulled her in for a hug as he spoke, the emotion he was feeling shocking thehell out of him, but he admitted – “ you cant be more sorry than I am in thismoment, for I know, I have to exist like this, I have to be against you, I haveto be apart from you, do everything that’s against your core values,and I knowyou have always hated me for it, and you might just end up hating me in thefuture too…”

Love– “ I could never hate you, I don’t have the strength in me too, and Iunderstand, that you are meant to be different, I just hope you understand howim meant to be different from you too, I just hope that you understand now thatus being standing against each other has nothing personal to it…”

Lovekissed him back as she spoke in between – “ I wont…”

Hatepushed her back as he asked looking into her eyes- “ will you always love me?? Likeyou say you do, no matter what the future holds, no matter how apart we are??”

Lovenodded, as she shivered under his intense gaze – “ I will, I will always loveyou…its sad, that no one is meant to know the story of this connection that isbetween you and me, but that doesn’t mean that it has any less significanceHate, we cannot be together, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t Love,infact I know sometimes it takes a lot of courage and strength to be apart fromsomeone, and still love them with all you have, its sad but its true, sometimesthe most beautiful tales of love are the ones that are just destined to beincomplete yet wholesome at the same time…”

Hatekissed her on the forehead – “ it’s all a cruel joke, I know, they all hate me,that’s why theyv done this to me, made me feel this for the one I cant have, ivnever felt anything like this before…but id be dammed if I didn’t live myforever in this moment with you…”,and before Love could say anything, she feltHate kiss her again as he started loving her again in his own ways, showing herthat he cared,that he did really feel for her, pouring in every bit of his painand emotion in that moment.

Lovefelt her tears leave her eyes as she started to love him back with everyemotion she had held for him in her being for so so long now, and she couldn’t complain,because in her being she had known this a long ago, that if she ever chose to loveHate, she would have to face all the pain that came along with it.Because sheknew that it would be worth it, the pain would be worth the experience of theemotion of love,Hate could make her feel.

Andit was a choice she had happily made, because for these few moments with him,she had waited Forever, and now she knew she had to find her forever, in thesefew precious, soul shattering, painful yet beautiful moments.

Andin that moment as she was experiencing the very beauty of her existence, sheknew she had been right all along, and she was confident about this, not justbecause she was Love herself, she was confident about it because of theexperience of the power of the emotion she was feeling in that very moment.

It really was worth it.

Love,really was worth it all.
