Her distrust towards Minnie regarding Ashok is so illogical. What I didn't want to see was a full-on jaded HS. Lagta ab wahi hoga... Waadiyon mein ghoome ga. We thought that after 5 years HS is going to find Minnie and bring her back. I think it might be the opposite. Minnie will go find HS (who ran away to live alone in the mountains) and then bring him back.

Exactly what I have been saying.. not necessarily.. they can show Babita thinking she is holding back Hanuman and Mini and leaving them and going away in the dark.. post leap, we can see some idea of how she survives with a new actress or something.. with major focus on Mini's journey of course where we see how she deals with being abandoned by her evil mother

Yes people do that but only when they know that their children will not have to depend on it when bad times come around. hey have money on their own, their family unit is normal and traditional. Here no one knows what is HS's responsibility financially toward Minnie since she is not his legally adopted daughter. Babita gave up on her family jewelry and alimony. Now she is selling off her business because she doesn't care. Does she think of Minnie's educational costs or wedding related costs and where will that money come from? If she doesn't then she is just being an irresponsible mother who is only thinking of her own feelings and not the practicality of real life situations.

I just wish she would think about Minnie's point of view.
