I don't agree. I am his fan.
Disagree! I know of people, including myself, who will watch a movie just if he is there in it! Its not because we want to see him, but his presence is now like a guarantee that the movie is going to be entertaining and awesome!
Andhadhun was a turning point in his career. The film and role won all the polls.
Ayush still wins polls with younger stars..and the double digit openings for Dream girl and Bala shows that audience waits for An Ayush film.
The trailers of both films were average.I preferred Ujda Chaman trailer ..
Ujda Chaman's trailer was better than Bala, but people chose to watch Bala instead. That's because they trust the brand Ayushman more than a new product Sunny.

Exactly....Not just the trailer even if the end product is better than Bala, Bala will still excel just because of the presence of Ayushmann....Therefore content over the star argument is clearly debunked!
Don't know about fans but people definitely trust his script choice and would go to see a 'hatke' story
Who cares whether he has fanbase or not, if he gives consecutive hits? 😃
People trust him to watch good cinema. They are mostly fans of his movie choices. Don't know if they will stick around if he starts delivering bad products, continuously. That will explain his fanbase.
It is somewhat true, depending on your perspective.
Yes, he definitely does have a loyal fan base. But when you compare it to the nature of fan bases in Bollywood - it is relatively small and not as obsessive as some other fan bases.
His movies are successful not because of hordes of loyal fans booking tickets simply because he stars in it. Obviously, there are some fans who will do so, but mostly it is because he has had a good track record in recent times. Movie lovers watch his movies because they feel assured the content will be good. Word of mouth further amplifies his movies.
