Do you think Sid is being cornered in the show or is it his irrational fear, imagining others are cornering him.

He behaves arrogantly, makes faces while talking, impolite, dictates others as if sabkuch usiko pata hai, kamchor no 1, backstabbed his eternal friend Arti. If a person behaves like this none would want to have bonding with him. He should go to jungle n live there. Eternal corner forever

I disagree that it is Shukla strategy. It is his nature. He simply cannot tolerate criticism.

When BB punished him for push, instead of apologizing and moving on, he was yelling at BB also.

You are probably right, Clearly there is something wrong in his higher intellectual ability, to accept that he is just human and he can makes mistakes, and should apologise.
