They did make Ravi this all rounder but at least the stories of other characters did not suffer due to it.. everyone had their own growth.. Ravi got more screenspace but at least this did not compromise thd story of other characters

The mother-daughter who are best friends angle might have been inspired by Gilmore Girls. Also, Luke-Lorelai love angle is weirdly similar to HS-Babita if I look at it. But there are still stark differences between GG and PB.

Lorelai in GG is nothing like Babita. She is strong, independent, fun and outgoing, witty, confident but is immature and childish. Rory, her daughter on the other hand is mature, super smart, sensible, but timid and shy. Rory looks up to her mother a lot and wants to be like her. Its the opposite in PB. Also, there is no divorce angle, Dad cheating on mom, abusive Dad angle in GG. Lorelai is a single mother and has single handedly raised her daughter. Lorelai comes from a really wealthy family, gets pregnant with her bf at the age of 16, which embarrassed and disappointed her parents (almost reminds me of Meeta's story). Lorelai has an overbearing, neurotic mother and an workaholic father. In her quest to give Rory a better childhood than herself, she decides to leave her parents house to a nearby town and decides to live independently on her own. The show starts when the daughter is 16.

Luke on the other hand has always liked and been attracted to Lorelai, so is Lorelai but its not too evident in the beginning. Nonetheless they are really good friends. Luke is always there for her and her daughter in the time of need. I especially loved Luke-Lorelai love angle. Its a really good show. You should watch it... its on Netflix 😃

Even I think the idea of PB is taken from Gilmore girls... Gilmore girls was good show... but it was also criticize by fans in final seasons...

There is another one... if anybody likes to watch historical dramas- “North and South” by BBC... it’s good also... it has only 4 episodes...

Yep I also think the initial idea might have been inspired from GG. It was a really good show for 7 seasons. They messed up in the middle though by breaking up Luke and Lorelai.

The return of GG as a netflix originals for 4 episodes... those were criticized by fans a lot. I was so excited when the news of them bringing back GG after 10 years came out, but was highly disappointed when I watched it. But the original 7 season were really good for the most part.

Just watched a few random old episodes and man oh man was PB hilarious. Especially HS! I can't even begin to describe it. I'm just falling in love with this man all over again.

Episode 156:

RJ Parveen asks HS for his name and HS is like, "Bhai naam mein ke likha hai. FIR karvao ge ke?"

I mean HS ka kuch bhi 🤣smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37

OMG! Forgot to mention how HS LITERALLY called a pandit over to the station, gave him chai nashta just so that he could get a consultation on his kundali. And Lala is telling the pandit to tell them why HS' love life is stuck for the past few months. Aage kyun ni bar paara. And then the pandit's rahu ketu ka jaap. Which HS then throws back at the RJ all in one breath. smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37

OH! The pandit even told HS that if he doesn't speak to Babita now then he'll have to wait for two months. Lo and behold, this episode took place in July and two months later (September) inn dono ki shaadi hogayi. smiley37smiley37smiley37

And the way he roped Naeem Bi in by maska maarying her and OH! Babita toh uth kar chali gayi thi to cook while the song played on to make it seem like she doesn't care but then she notes the DJ's number down by literally carving it onto the table with her knife. Matlab Babita ka bhi kuch bhi hora tha smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37smiley37

Babita when Naeem Bi tells her to stop pulling HS' leg: Ab dosti ki hai toh nibhani toh paregi.

Ohh man, Hanita were GOLD back in the day!

Is it DJ's creative unit?
