Lol that is true. I don't think they can sideline Varun and Shweta. I might give it a try if the reviews are any good.

Ok I googled. Its the same production house that made JJKN and Parvarish. I don't remember much of JJKN because I was way too young when that came on TV and I never followed it.. but Parvarish 1 was a good show. Don't know if it ended on a good note though.

Some similarities I see: Luke also gives loan to Lorelei to start her business like HS gives Babita. Lorelei always reaches out to Luke for advise and support. Luke and Lorelei were always attracted to each other but always defined their relationship as friends and always denied anything on that front similar to HS-Babita though there were major sexual tension between them, similar to Hanita. It was always “is there, isn’t there”, “will they be more than friends” etc. Rory and Luke shared a lovely bond, he was a father figure to her like HS-Mini, and was fiercely protective of Rory, like HS is towards Mini. Luke and Lorelai sneaking up on Rory and her bf is what I would have liked to see HS-Babita do to Mini and her bf in PB 😆.

Edit: one of the differences but is kinda funny... in GG, Luke is the cook and is a provider of food for Rory and Lorelei since Lorelei can’t cook. In PB, Babita is the cook and makes food for HS 😆

LOL I know how you feel. I love Shweta in serious roles but even more for her comic timing. Have been waiting for ages for her new show. Glad it's only a week away.

Also, the title is clear that the Dad will get a Dulhan, so love story is important as will be all the other adjustment issues for them.

I will let it run for a few episodes and if I like it, will give it a go. Waise bhi, nothing to lose.

They two r seasoned actors... Surely cant mess with them as they r more senior than even Anirudh and Paridhi of PB... So let's see... Might give it a try too.... What I wanted to see in PB I might end up seeing here....

Parvarish 1 was good. It did go downhill post leap but not to the extent that PB did.. the story of that show too got compromised due to love for one character, Ravi but still they handled it better than PB.. but I did not follow Parvarish 2 though

I never see a show from first episode though😆 I wait at least two weeks then binge watch the epis to judge the momentum

I wasn't much active in the forum then but I do remember people complaining about lot of focus given to Ravi. Personally, I wanted to see more of Rocky and Gini, shweta's kids in the show. The other 3 didn't attract me as much. Lol so I guess lots of show go through this 😆
