I'm very confused with mohini today.. On one side she is acknowledging what Anurag and prerna mean to each other. She has crossed the stage where she denied what prerna means to anurag. Now she accepts it, and today she referred to anurag and prerna's relationship in the present tense. I was actually able to accept her explanation to moloy also. She says she is selfish.
But then the next minute, she shows once again her blind hatred for Prerna. Why does she have to lie to anurag about his connect with the Sharmas? It's at this point that mohini becomes unbearable. That woman actually does not want her son to get his memory back, because anurag getting his memory back means prerna being back in his life. She just wants prerna out,by hook or crook.
How can you on one hand say you love your son and then on the other hand hate the very person your son loves.?
And that's what I m kinda liking about mohini in this track🙈
She is behaving selfish and wrong with prerna, but for her every action, she is able to give some reason, her actions are not just out of prerna is manhoos or prerna is middle class prejudice of hers. She is not creating any scene until yet. She's only speaking in that typical mohini style authoritative tone. She is not being unnecessarily insulting towards prerna. She is acknowledging her love for Anurag and anurag's for her, but she's mother first, her concern for her son outshines everything else.
But then, mohini is mohini. As much as she knows how much her son loves prerna, she doesn't want to accept her from her heart. Hence she's being opportunistic. The way she talked to moloy today, she's pretending that she's ready to give prerna her place when time comes, but she believes in second chance at love and hence thinks by the time Anu gains back his memory, he'll fall in love with sonalika, so that prerna doesn't stand a chance again. Hence she's trying to keep Anu away from Sharma's. I guess she first wants him to fall in love with sonalika and later she's ok even if he's told the truth or he gets back his memory.
Along with anuprelika, they r writing mohini too very nicely this time. She's still the same hypocrite selfish blind lady...but they r giving out reasons for her actions and she doesn't come across as a faltu mein tamaasha karne wali aurat. Perfect example of grey character! Hope this authoritative tone of her prevails even after Sharma's come to Basu Bari if at all they do and she doesn't create a machi mandi out of BB again!!
