Theater business is multi million business! ... There's no way it'll come to an end. As long as new movies keep on getting released directly at theaters and they aren't available for streaming right away, people will continue flocking to theaters .. Also it's a kind of entertainment/outing! It will continue to drive and keep making billions!

Most people in India are lesser privileged to afford those luxuries (video projectors/ laptops/ computers etc) , single screen theaters are still cheapest entertainment for them, and I dont see this financial situation changing anytime in next 50 years as well, so yeah going by that logic cinemas/theaters seems to exist in next 50 years.

We always tend to forget that we are the fortunate small percentage of population, but a huge majority still relies on cinemas and single screens.

Those who answered No must be living in US/UK. Esp in India & China it will survive for at least 50 yrs. But in US it's already dying. Audience seems to be visiting theatres only for big budget superhero films. A film like slumdog millionaire which made $145 million ( In US alone) won't cross even $50 m if released now.

I want it to survive too , there is nothing like a shared experience of watching cinema that too in a big screen!

I guess there will be INNOVATIONS in cinema

Like SPECIALTY cinemas with unique features

It has already been started with Imax, 3d, 4d etc. in the future these technologies will be cheaper and common and other new things will be there which we cannot think of now.

IMO ofcourse
