Did we have any special TV programmes in the 80 s on doordarshan Marathi channel? I faintly recollect an half an hour programme as Diwali special.. But yes Diwali Ank was very famous and almost found in every house .. At the same time if any of your kids are studying in class 10 , Dahavi Diwali magazine was first introduced in 1988 during Diwali featuring The interview of Mangesh Mhaskar as the then SSC topper who had made history....

i rember divalicha abhyas😆drawings kadha,tqbles byheart kara.essays liha.pan tari maja yayachi.i remembered kille karayacho,dhamal yayachi

I vaguely remember some Marathi variety programme would be there on the first day of Diwali. But then TV generally didn't take up most of our leisure time back then. Diwali ank was a staple in every Marathi household. Making Kandil was also something we looked forward too. Everybody in the household had to help clean the house, make faraal and make kandil.

Yes pistol n red tikli omg very annoying noise n all of us kids went running up n down the building n compound playing chor police with that pistol😂 but u know it was my least favorite as the sparks coming out of gun used to burn yur hands

Yes night time my fav used to be anar as i didnt like rocket. Others used to be colored matchsticks , snake n bhuychakra which used to follow u 😀

Wish we were kids again n could light up all crackers though i m not fond of bombs thats boys luved.

Yes, home work in every vacation. Diwali vacation was 3 weeks, right? Essays, tables, Maths problems. But it never bothered us. We would finish that and still have lots of fun with friends and family.
