Man, those epis have so much father-daughter feel in them....those were the days when HS had more assertively started inserting himself in between Mini and Babita's arguments to discipline Mini....or this scene where he sees the letter sent from the college and him and Mini talk to each other first where he encourages her to take the matter to Babita and not hide it from her.

Yes, he was brilliant. The way his expressions changed and the emotions in his eyes when she narrated everything and then when he couldn't control his tears anymore. Minnie was able to talk to him and he was able to sense there was something more to the whole story when he saw that letter.

Yes, there was indeed so much father-daughter feel, it was so natural, so spontaneous. I loved his assertion and the way he kept his emotions in check to do the right thing, and also how he told Babita off for passing her fear on to Minnie, who went from being a sherni to a girl who looked defeated.

Where is that HS? She needs him more than ever. smiley27

Maybe when he finds out about her mental state. When he finds out about Manmeet he gets really mad when Babita refuses to file an FIR and his hands are tied because he has no right to do anything for Minnie as a guardian.

There have been many moments of frustration and barely-controlled anger where he felt helpless regarding Minnie. Now's his chance to take it up and sort things out, be there as a shield where she needs him to be but also continue to be her coach.

Hell to the YES....I would LOVE to see this....ekdum FIREWORKS honge😆

But I don't know if the writers have the guts to challenge these relationships on that level.....they play it safe by always looping back to Babita-Mini's bond.....HS has never stuck his neck out to stand up for Mini against Babita....he's always felt like he doesn't have the right to defend Mini as his own......what if such a day comes where he exercises that right? Phir kya hoga? lol dhamaka hoga.

Yes, I just saw that scene when he gets pissed with Babita for not filing the FIR against Manmeet....kaafi gussa hua tha....but as usual, he backed off in frustration cuz he felt it's Babita's right ultimately to make the decision.

Yes, that bit exactly....and I was also struck by how he tried to hold back his emotions for as long as he could but ultimately just couldn't help himself from getting up and pulling her into a hug.....every time she cries, you can see his heart literally breaking.....look at the emotion on his face for this girl...

And the catch in his voice when he said, "Veer Balika hai na tu? Chup ho jaa chal"❤️

For me the worst moment was when he felt helpless to even stop them leaving the haveli and resigning to see her from time to time if she needed him. That's not how it should be. She belongs with him.

I think even today, Minnie would appreciate him stepping in to help her when he wants, and now even the legal stuff he has the right to handle, unlike the consent form scene (that was another painful one). I want him to be able to take decisions for her betterment if he has to, to be strict but also warm with her.

I know that Babita and he have totally different ideas about parenting and the day he steps up as a parent for Minnie's sake and thinks about what's best for her, even if it means going against Babita, that's when things will improve. That's when Minnie will know what she means to him and how invested he is in her future, because right now neither parent seems to be talking about it. This was the same man who had stars in his eyes imagining his daughter becoming successful and talking about her having an ooncha qad. He was the one who said he'd bring her all the stars in the world if she wanted or arrest anyone who dared to trouble her.

He has to stop being afraid and now use this second chance he got in life. He should want Minnie for himself truly as his jigar ka tukda and not just as his wife's daughter.

He literally cries when she does, right from the Lohri evening to the court to Ashok's arrest, to this scene. Yes, the way he gets up as he just can't see her fighting to stay strong while she narrates what happened, it's palpable how devastated he is but still tries to be strong for her. I truly believed him when he said his heart would break in two if he loses her. I hope that NEVER happens but our writers are sadistic, so who knows?

How dare the writers think we'd believe them that HS did all this to impress Babita. Jeez.

That little shake of his head as if he's saying 'damn I can't control my emotions anymore and can't continue to see my Veer Balika hurting' and then pulls her into a hug, he's done that a few times. You can see that he can't stand watching her cry.

You are going to make me cry with all these caps.

Word.....his eyes say everything about his emotions for Mini.

Waise ek baat bolun....we've seen HS the husband, we've seen HS the son, we've seen HS the friend....but I would go out on a limb and say that HS the father will be the best version of him.....yet to come.....he's still finding his way to that destiny with Mini. Your first child makes you a father.....Mini will always be that first child for him.

As for Mini....lol I don't know how she will react if HS goes against her Babes.....even if it's for her own self....cuz Mini is also very volatile about Babita...her reactions can get territorial if she feels her Babes is being hurt by someone other than herself.....lol....so let's see if it ever even comes to that and how they'll all react if it does.

But I like your take....this being used as a trigger for Mini to realize how invested HS actually is in her, her life, her future.

I also believe that hands down HS the father will be the best version. I don't know if you're reading my mind but I was just thinking about the fact that Minnie is the one who would make him a father, she is his first child and will always be.

As for her getting territorial about Babita, well I think she understands that as her mother's husband he has some rights and lines that she can no longer cross and that will make her reevaluate things. Also, by the time he steps in to protect her, I bet she will already be in a very vulnerable state, with the fight gone out of her.

Minnie is at a crucial age, where young adults build the foundation for their future. If she doesn't get the right guidance and support it could ruin her life. Seriously, NB and HS (and Lala) are the only ones who I would count on to help her through this. If HS stands up for her even against Babita it will prove to Minnie that he cares about her independent of her mother, that he is going to go against his beloved wife for her sake - he won't have a need to impress Babita or do ji hazuri by helping Minnie, he will do it for her, and to an extent for himself.

I know it won't be easy, and he will fight with his own daddy issues, but I think being able to work towards becoming her father in every sense, and also gaining her acceptance of him in that role will go a long way towards healing him (and Minnie). I don't know what's coming our way but I'm looking forward to some difficult moments but very fulfilling ones.

The photography as a career discussion is pending too.

Again, I totally agree, especially with the bit in bold....is baat pe apna wavelength same hi hai😆

I'll go out on another limb and add that it will be with the emergence of HS the father that we will see HS-Babita's marriage also stepping into its best phase....with true emotional connectivity and intimacy.

This is not about HS needing to be a father to prove some point to Babita....I just feel there's a lot in his personality that will only heal and come to fruition with him finding fulfillment as a father to Mini.....it will open a lot of the gaanthein currently tangling them all up.

Sigh... yes, indeed. I think when Babita is fully confident that Minnie has a real father to look after her, she can lighten up too and trust HS to make decisions for their daughter. That way Babita can take care of her own self and dreams for a change.

As for the marriage, who knows?

I think this is about HS proving something to himself, that he isn't a failure or a coward that he can give Minnie the wings she needs and watch her bloom once she heals from her own issues. In the process a lot of his pain and remorse regarding his mother will go down. Most importantly, he is going to vie for that hero status in Minnie's life as her role model, not as her mother's hero.

I feel in the process of proving something to himself, it will evolve HS for the better....calm some storms inside him.....that is what would make him a better person.

As for Babita....it's not just about her feeling assured that HS can handle THEIR daughter....I feel seeing HS as a father will actually genuinely connect Babita to him on a deeper emotional level....which can set the basis for her finally learning to look beyond her own issues and try to connect to his pain as well.

This marriage is not a springboard for Babita to only take care of herself and her dreams.....uske liye she didn't need to get married.....she could have lived her life on her own terms. In a marriage, there is partnership....it demands that she think of HS's wishes, hopes, dreams too alongside her own.....which she currently really isn't being able to.
