No, he didn't get her anything cuz she diverted the whole thing towards what THEY can gift to BABITA......lol once again, she deflected away from her own needs and HS let her.
There has to come a time when he says NO....he will do what HE wants to do for HER....not Babita, not anyone else....for MINI....and he insist that Mini let him do what he wants for her.....haq se.

This even I want to know. What's the gift? Or was it the framed family photo they hung up? I hope not. I don't want her own birthday gift to also be something to appease her Babes.
No he said he was going to buy her a big gift. I really wanted him to do something special, even if it was the next day. Doesn't look like it.
In a way, we're seeing both sides of the coin with victimisation. Babes ek taraf and Minnie ek. Both extremes. One always finds someone to blame, the other accepts her condition as something that just happens from time to time. With both approaches being extremely harmful.
Thankfully, the kid HS had good role models surrounding him. I'm eternally grateful that NB took him and now Minnie under her wing. Imagine what she must be going through though. First she saw her kid (HS) going through abuse at the hands of his father, now her poti (Minnie) too. Ugh.
Yes, I am glad NB noticed Minnie being upset and it made her so upset that she went to speak to Babita. I don't know if Babita will get it or act upon it but I wish NB would get a bit more involved and at least speak to HS to guide him like she used to before.

I hope so too. It's all this awkwardness between them that's getting in the way, otherwise he used to do so many things for her without even being asked or without her even mentioning she needed something.
Examples are buying her a camera, getting all the training equipment and coaching her, trying to understand her situation with Manmeet, going to the therapist to find out more about her, etc.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want him to notice her signs of depression, how she is withdrawn, her sudden fits of anger, etc.

Exactly, but I think he didn't expect her to lie to Babita and say that he got the photo for them. I wish he had not gone along with it. I know he wanted to do what Minnie asked just to make her happy at that moment but it wasn't the right approach. I want him to make it up to her.

The conversation between NB and HS right before marriage is still adhura. At least finish that.
Also, this is another one of those scenes where Aniruddh was especially brilliant...his initial expressions when Mini is telling him what happened and why she didn't tell Babita.....there was a haunted quality to his eyes as he was listening to Mini
Man, those epis have so much father-daughter feel in them....those were the days when HS had more assertively started inserting himself in between Mini and Babita's arguments to discipline Mini....or this scene where he sees the letter sent from the college and him and Mini talk to each other first where he encourages her to take the matter to Babita and not hide it from her.
You know what I wanna see? I wanna see a HS fiercely protective of his Veer Balika again....his expressions in the scene when Mini told him how Manmeet trapped her say so much.....you can feel both his anger and his pain that his brave girl was put through this....
Oh damn! These caps are gonna make me cry. I also want to see him like this and frankly I'd like for him to haq se take a stand for her against even Babita if he has to, if it means he protects Minnie. Maybe when he finds out about her mental state. When he finds out about Manmeet he gets really mad when Babita refuses to file an FIR and his hands are tied because he has no right to do anything for Minnie as a guardian.
There have been many moments of frustration and barely-controlled anger where he felt helpless regarding Minnie. Now's his chance to take it up and sort things out, be there as a shield where she needs him to be but also continue to be her coach.
