Not everything is scientifically proven..KC is a tradition people are following since ages..just like any other tradition or festival...rahi prayers for longevity of ones spouse,ofcourse it will help ..I have read some real stories where doctors gave up on patients and ask relatives only prayers can save them..since prayers proved so powerful than science...

Bold : u r asking like why we celebrate other festivals like Diwali,Christmas,ramjan only once in a year..and why not every day..😆 we celebrate on those days because it’s auspicious day and the result will be more powerful..same way though wives pray for husband’s longevity daily..that particular day is so auspicious and give better results..that’s what I think !

That is all kinds of wrong .. I thought women would be explicitly forbidden to fast during pregnancy .. I mean advised against / requested against fasting during pregnancy ( just in case "forbidden" is too strong a word for your "feminist" sentiments 😆) ..

Rural India does have many problematic things ( especially in the north , the south is actually doing quite okay ) .. But thats a discussion / task for another time / day .. But what you suggested is eradication of KC to deal with the evils of the rural India .. Was that smart ? .. Do you not see any other way of eradicating evils of rural India ? .. How about we start with basic education ? .. Isn't that a smarter alternative than eradication of KC ? .. Being a social worker , have you tried that ? .. Or do you think a morcha against KC as a whole will benefit your cause ? .. You need to remove your gender glasses to see things clearly and arrive at a logical/ reasonable solution ..

I am not garam, just felt what I said about Twinkle not able to guide Akki is not exactly a wise thing to say. A 30+ man(when he was married and still hanging around with other girls), shouldn't be needing his wife to guide him. I was wrong there and I just admitted it, garam nahi hu.

Baaki I think it is futile to discuss these, as people will take the best cases favoring their arguments and go on and on. People who dislike all rituals where women have to so called "suffer", will continue to fight against it. And those who think it's okay, will think it's okay, no matter what.

@ Blue : you almost sound happy about it <-- and there's your problem in a nutshell .. Your priorities are all messed up .. If your above post is anything to go by , i dont think you care about making the world a better place as much as you care about hating the men and sticking it to them .. Look i dont deny patriarchy and the evils associated with it and that we need to fight against it .. But everything isn't so black and white ( at least in the modern world perspective ) .. As long as you have this extremist mentality , you will never be able to adopt a balanced approach to arrive at a more logical/ reasonable solution .. On one hand , you suggested complete eradication of KC and on the other hand , you suggested let upper class celebrate it .. overall , your proposal is to make KC as some sort of elitist festival and take it away from women in the lower strata of the society who actually want to celebrate it .. Not very smart for a social worker .. Basics is always education .. Thats how we evolved and continue to evolve .. it may be very basic but very effective .. Eradicating KC will not help you achieve your goal ( unless the goal in question wasn't just to help women but to stick it to men 😆) .. There's a limit to bs on the forum in the name of trying to win some argument to save your face,provoking lol. Try to formulate actual arguments than trying to prove am a 'feminazi' lmao. Twinkle doesn’t have faith in these rituals may be cos of Akshay’s disloyal towards her ? .had he been faithful/loyal to her then may be she would do anything for him .??.just a thought !
