I also feel that HS himself has been through a lot ever since they both came into his life. He was living alone all this time and so much has happened in the past few months that it took a toll on him. Not to mention all his past memories and traumas being triggered in such a way. I don't think he gave himself the chance to have some space and to sort through his emotions. He just shut them down for now.

Word. This is very true. It’s like his life was still for many years after Imarti and suddenly a lot started happening as mother daughter entered his life.

So he’s been overcome by the jumble of emotions and hasn’t always been able to sort through them.

It’s an adjustment period. Hopefully he can properly begin the adjustments now that some issues have atleast been acknowledged.

He does want to be her hero, independent of Babita.

This is exactly why I loved this bit. You could see the transition of every minute emotion on his face in reaction to what she was saying. All that he had blocked out and avoided was hitting home. I got the sense that he started to feel the full impact of just how much and why things had fallen off track.

I really want him and Mini to try and develop an equation independent of Babita. It would be nice if the thought occurs to HS and he makes the effort....beyond being bogged down by Babita ke orders 🙄

I also want to see a scene of him putting into practice Mini’s suggestion of telling Babita to back off and not interfere between him and Mini 😎😎😂

By this gesture, she is subconsciously also giving HS that time and attention, and as time passes he too will become as important to her as Babita is - a gap that has always bothered him.

Word! I was thinking the same. Just the other day, someone was saying Mini doesn’t give HS equal regard as Babita.

But this scene was an eerie parallel of her doing for HS what she’s done for Babes many times. Steadied her in weaker moments....Mini sambhaaloed him like she’s done for her mom....which shows he holds that level of importance for her to make the effort to go that extra distance. With time, they will both build this....and the realization will hit ki Pata bhi nahin chala when he became equally important for her in his own way.

Yeah, they have always had their own little secrets. This felt no different.

I also like the fact that with no stress of labeling their relationship they can be equals and give and take freely without feeling pressured by log kya kahenge. He also realizes that she has indeed become and adult and rather than being mollycoddled she does indeed need a guide.

+1....Yep, he was viewing her through new eyes, noting the maturity developing in her with a sense of pride in his eyes :)

@bold... for that I think Ashok would have to come back or there would need to be some major trigger.

Just like Babita made the first move towards HS, i would also love it if Minnie one day asks HS to be her father. He would die of happiness that day!

LOL they will likely bring that angle back when they want to generate sympathy for Babita again 😆

And yes, Ashok is quite likely to come back....he’s looming very large in their lives. Nothing can be fully resolved without getting through that baggage.

I do feel that Mini will make the first move and declare HS her father one day....either declare or ask him....but something just makes me feel it will happen in a moment of impulse. The emotion is there and it will be compelled to the fore in the heat of some moment.

HS really would be beyond overjoyed if she gives him that. It would probably unravel him more than Babita’s proposal 😆

But yes, there is still hurt to be worked through.....so hopefully she can fully reconcile herself to that. That a hero comes in many forms - flaws included.

Yes, indeed.

Heroes and fathers come in many forms.

I think Minnie's words restored a bit of his confidence.

As for Babita, usko pyaar se samjhaata hai to woh nahin samajhti. Ek daant lagaye ga to woh peechhe hatt jayegi. 😆

Aapke moonh mein ghee shakkar. I think deep down both want their bond to strengthen organically and know that the other person is extremely important to them.

If that isn't fatherly pride, I don't know what is. It's just ironic how everyone's been fretting about the father-daughter bond, especially these two, yet when you look at their interactions as an outsider, you can clearly see it there.
