LOL as I suspected. Even an abhigya centric track can't increase impressions/trps/ ranking if its shit boring. 😆 Like I've said before, indian tv audience watch a show if they find it entertaining, not merely for couple, and abhigya centric tracks aren't enough. The new gen have been accepted by the audience and neither a track being abhigya centric or new gen centric is a for sure way for trp success, but merely it has to be entertaining to audience. Clearly that week of abhigya centric drama is the same old same old stuff the tv audience are used to seeing with abhigya and hence are bored. What they need to do is put out an interesting track and frame the weeks so there is a balance of everything from new gen, abhigya, light-hearted fun and drama. I know every week it maybe be a challenge for writers to keep balance, but when ever do these writers ever keep balance or even try? That week's ratings were full of boring abhigya drama. It was abhigya centric like those fans wanted, yet it should have been in top three at least. Why wasn't it? Because the track is boring. If the track is lacklustre and boring why are audience going to tune in and watch the whole epi at all. So they need to stop blaming new gen and saying abhigya centric tracks are going to bring trp only. NOPE what's going to bring trp's is not showing a whole week of abhigya's done and dusted drama on repeat and that too with depressing and uninteresting tracks. Literally nobody cares about rishi-priyanka track yet they chose that track to try and make abhigya cross paths and use that as a way to keep focus on abhigya only for that week, but it doesn't work because the track itself is so uninteresting and a whole week of showing abhigya doing the same thing they always do isn't going to grab audience's attention at all.

Next time, these writers needs to think about running two plots at the same time, such as showing abhigya centric track and new gen/pranbir centric track at the same time so the episodes actually look interesting, else all the scenes and tracks they show of abhigya have been done and dusted so many times throughout the five years. In that entire week we basically just had two new gen scenes. One on the terrace on monday, and the friday that phone call between pranbir. That's it. The rest was all abhigya rubbish. Abhigya ruled that week, and the ratings and ranking didn't shoot up or anything. Why, because the track was boring, abhigya weren't shown doing anything that we haven't seen before, and there was zero balance with no pranbir/ new gen. It was a gloomy and dead week as a whole.

For all those weeks epis, besides the terrace game on monday, one small scene of ranbir with his family about drinking beer including vikram and that one scene on friday with pranbir phone call, the entire week was jam-packed with abhigya drama. The focus was barely even on priyanka-rishi really for them to be blamed for the lackluster episodes and ranking/ ratings. I mean the ratings and ranking are not concerning for that week or anything, it's simply consistent like you said, but the issue is that the way abhigya fans talk about these abhigya centric tracks is as if ratings can shoot up simply from showing abhigya, even after me having said numerous times that story and entertainment factor is key to tv audience, not abhigya romance and abhigya centric tracks. If the track is boring and there is no freshness and excitement (which none of abhigya scenes for that week brought) tv audience won't tune in. Maybe the week would have been better if they ran pranbir/ abhigya track at the same time and it wasn't just back and forth abhigya bickering and their usual emotional drama that happens in every separation track of theirs.
