A rant of a former fan DT NT Pg2

Kasauti zindagi ki was my favourite growing up , be it watching the repeat after school or going up ten minutes early to the bus stop to discuss the last episode with my friends . It has been detrimental to my views on romance be it when Anurag asks prerna for the prasad opposing his mom I positively swooned never did anything sound more sweet to me. A mumma s boy finally raising his voice for the women he loved that was the quintessential romance in my books. The same dhup dance had prerna picking the hot coal so it could not hurt Anurag and I was a goner . I shipped Anupre so hard the first season but little did I know this show would teach me a lot of live truths.

1) Career Is most important even though you deal with shit in your personal life . Old prerna has been an epitome of that.

2) Self respect comes before love. This I realized once Bajaj was in the picture . No way should any woman have to deal with a barrage of insults in the name of love .

3) Love does not happen only once and you can love two people at the same time just that you prioritize one relationship over the other .

When I tuned into this season I can't believe the mockery they made of the previous season. Prerna s is doing nothing just going to jail hospital and involved in kitchen politics . This season was not meant to unite Prerish ( a couple I eventually started rooting to after Sneha was born) it was always about Anu and Pre ( perhaps Ekta wanted to place a balm on former Anu pre enthusiasts?). Prerna moving in after Anulika s marriage this season and every one was happy that she stood up for her rights while Anurag is doing the same thing now is not dealt the same way.

Last year Naveen Babu was Mahishasur and this season Bajaj is Ravan ( trust me I was literally Rolf when i heard Anurag say that the old Bajaj is nowhere a Ravan but instead the rock solid partner every woman wished to have) so Ekta has made it clear Bajaj is the villain and not the anti hero like most expected him to be . Reason for all the Anu pre Milan in a week and Bajaj being turned to a clown is simple trps . The show was expected to draw huge numbers and it never did , insipid romance of Anurag and Prerna , getting her competitors favourite bahu to play a vamp did not help , nor did forcing KSG out of retirement and neither will getting Amna. This show is doomed coz of her writers or maybe the nostalgia is not something we ex fans can forget. This Anurag is nothing like the shy Anurag of the first season he was a college stud played football so the original romance never clicked for me . The USP of the old Anurag was that he was such a 'loser' that no one could ever imagine him falling in love or having a girlfriend which he eventually did . The old Bajaj was the man who stood through a lot of tough times thus managing to win prerna and the audience. Yes love is great but support and understanding over it . He was also smart enough to ensure his wife and him stayed in a separate house . Prerna the less said about her the better she is just wasting her time , go back to college if she was having an extra marital right under Bajaj s nose It does not matter coz it's her choice. Her choice to get married to Bajaj and now her choice to go back to the man she still loves . Bajaj has maintained he will fo what she wants so why not be open and tell him she wants out .

This show is about four people Anurag Prerna Komolika and Bajaj and not a remake hopefully once the new Komo also fails to get trp s they shut shop instead of a fake new Kasauti for the lead couple.

Just the way they ruined the old character s made me pen this and withdrew me from.my self imposed IF EXILE

Also do read all the Kings men FF by sohail19 which I have been devouring since yesterday one of the best pieces of writing I ever came across!!

Before this thread goes on like the others, I'd say, I feel for you. EK's competitor, benchmark for this show was herself, and her own show. It is just sad that she just couldn't even match up to her own self, and her own benchmark. There are moments when this show shines, but those are moments that have to be dug out like sparkling diamonds from vast expanses of sand. And, as a viewer, it big time sucks to see what we have been reduced to. It's been a year, and the fate of the show howsoever it changes, would probably reflect a better version of the past year, but it seems like the past year itself has been a miserably tryst of EK with her past. 😳

I think everyone’s interpretation of a villain is different. From what I’ve heard, old Bajaj did a lot of dark stuff before he fell in love with Prerna. Didn’t he morph intimate pictures of both of them to seperate AP? I mean that’s a very villainous at but Prerna still fell in love with him. This Bajaj in comparison hasn’t actually done as much surely?! He reacts when he’s instigated. Villain for one character doesn’t mean he’s a villain overall.

Regarding AP and the show as a whole, EKTA and the channel expected far more. It’s an average success show, below expectations which is just going along without any big deal made.

You worded it beautifully !! She managed to make a female lead and a show more regressive than 2001 show . This season is all hype and no show , Veena ma saying how no one can be a better partner for Pre than Anu , Maasi and Tanvi emphasising on Bajaj s ruthlessness or Komolika s sister hyping her up while the characters actions tell an opposite tale.This looks like a spoof of the old show now.

Well the writing is all over the place .....I agree and even the new generation of KZK audience knows the show lacks a decent storyline .

But the show never promised to be a remake of the old one. It was a reboot of the original series. It has kept similar characters but it's a whole different era from what season 1 was . The characterisation has been modified accordingly .....though the character graph has too many inconsistencies .

I personally hv watched KZK 1 on and off....since I was a kid den . Some episodes I watched on hotstar. Now it's just my personal opinion.....when I watched it on hotstar I was bored and didn't like any of the characters. Never liked Anurag or Bajaj of season 1 as a kid den or an adult now.

For season 2 I can say I liked how Anurag's character was presented until the very recent stupidity . For Mr Bajaj I found him more interesting....I can say dt.....but I still don't like a third wheel.

Prerna.....this season I agree is very poorly constructed and is not how a new age woman should be.

Even if one judges this show alone, there are LOADS of loopholes, and few stuff that makes any sense. Loads and loads of shit that makes no sense.

And it has nothing to do with comparing or with season one.

In general also even if you take this show as a complete new show from ekta still its getting unbearable to watch.
