Best Oscar nominated Bollywood film according to you?

After Dharavi, Salaam Bombay imo was the most realistic depiction of Mumbai slums in movies(Bollywood doesn't care much about poverty anymore. Gully Boy being an exception). And it is an excellent movie. Highly recommend. Oscar types movie ki baat ki jaaye, toh this is a winner. Other options had pot boiler masala elements.

Oscar needs a different kinda mind-set of evaluation by foreigners and they prefer the movies which can churn the poverty, pain, panic and agony of poors, homeless-es, and backwards n' sar-fire poor vagabonds of low-life India, Slum-houses, open sanitation and Beggar Boys portrays, dirt-dust, people, street thieves of India, dying and crying for food, water kinda Sugar-cane like live skeleton people, ..... Ethiopia's famine like, faces and body of people,...a dry desert, and skeletons of dead cows around, a skeleton dog wagging its tail around on some kooda-karkat, Hungry crows and vulture starving for human food, and all rubbish, hopeless and hapless areas of India, torn and tattered clothes, dirty and ugly most poor Indian Baayiyaan, Paan-thoonk-daani waale Mujare, aur Kothe waali Laxmibaayi, handling the Red light areas, woes and worries, sadness and sorrows, tears and troubles been churned on those poor skeleton TB suffered and ready to die faces, straight from da famine suffered areas,... cart-pullers, medicine and doc suffered areas,... da real-life ( rather say all negatives ) ,.. and a whole negative documentary kinda movie to diminish the image and Impression about India,.......

and, that's how you win Oscar,... !!

Movie Lagaan got defeated against a foreign Movies named " No Man's Land " ,.. Coz, while Lagaan switched to somewhat Royal side, while the other War movie was kinda,.... our Smita-Shabana's old classic movie style,.... It was also a slow and suffered good one, I saw it twice with title-lines underneath, as Movie been in a foreign language,..

For Oscar, you need to study the Judges mind-sets and make those kinda weirdo movies, " Uddan" / Bandeet Queen ", Fire,..or close to that, with loads of poverty, dirtiness, Indian low-life, slum-house, sex due to torn and tattered un-enuff clothes, Ladies bathing at Open Nalka ( Water-tap) , choraha / nukkad areas in minimal clothes due to poverty and all negatives,... Nange-Punge Chori karte huye, half bread ko talsate aur fight karte huye bachchein, Somewhere in dry famine area , due to not enuff medication, Pregnancy ki maari, Ultiyaan karti huyi Shabaana, low-life ruthless rapes and murders, a low life wh*re house where a poor house-mother sleeps with all Mohallewaale,.. like in Akrosh, Chakra, Series - Sacred Games, Matrubhoomi, Rail ki patari pe Tatti karne beithe huye Gareeb slum-house Ghar ke Bachhe, due to lack of sanitation facility, excrement piles near Rail ki Patariyaan,........ .......n'...... You are set,....... and Oscar? Lo n' you have it,..... ! It was so easy, than you tho't !!
