Gender bias?

Okay I know most might disagree with me here but I just wanna rant for a bit. Bear with me.

Have come across so many people saying Kartik doesn’t love Naira anymore, he’s only crying for his son, he said he loves Kairav more than anyone else in his life. Kartik pretended to be guilty for 5 years but now he has no feelings left for Naira.

Then, Kartik shouldn’t expect Kairav to stay in GV. How can he separate a child from his mother. How can he demand Naira for custody when he’s all she’s got. Why can’t he focus on Vedika and allow Naira to have Naira.

How is Kartik not guilty. How has he still not apologised to Naira.

Just one question. Why is Kartik expected to do every damn thing in the relationship? Whilst I agree that it would have been nice to see him thinking about Naira while she was leaving, why only him? It’s not like Naira has shown any feelings towards him since the leap and please don’t start with the “he’s married argument”. She doesnt need to express her feelings to him but can at least acknowledge them for herself. He’s expected to feel for the mother, but the mother can’t feel a father’s love? He’s expected to apologise for questioning her but she doesn’t need to apologise for separating a father from his child. If he needs to think about Naira leaving, why can’t she think of leaving him as well?

I am not speaking against Naira but the double standards annoy me. I don’t know if that’s due to the gender bias people have or they just like one character over the other. IMO, rules should be the same for both.

There’s a saying:

You can’t clap with one hand.

I kind of agree...but disagree at the same time. She has acknowledged it...when seeing vedika and kartik together you can see the pain...you can also see the pain when she breaks the teej fast...also when she enters the room...similarly kartik has acknowledged them too..seeing her sleeping...getting mesmerized...to getting emotional on teej...breaking her fast...

But both of them refuse to show them for different reasons... kartik doesnt because he is angry with her and also because his whole focus is on kairav. Naira on the other hand thinks vedika and kartik are happily married and she is the thorn... she believes vedika when she said that kartik was moving on.. they also made it clear to each other...that they dont want each other ...but secretly they do.

Now for kartik i dont understand that he has always been the one to go against his family for naira..but this time he has made it clear again n again that he doesnt want naira also there is a major point of naira still not knowing about this that kartik doesnt think she did have an affair with mihir...they never cleared it to naira. Did they..maybe i missed it...but she would still think that kartik thinks mihir and naira did something ( adult types ) so i dont blame her for not showing any emotion.

But because kartik doesnt have a major reason to not show any emotion ...he has shown them before but right now he doesnt show thus i think everyone is saying all this.

Also there is a huge clip of bhabhi maa showing concern for vedika even after she blackmailed naira and bhabhimaa said that like always naira will be blamed for this. Have you seen that clip ? If its true...its disgusting. A family to be like this.

As for showing emotions ....there will be plenty of them...i think... in further episodes.

As I said, this post isn’t about either of them acknowledging their love. I know they still love each other, despite how they have been acting lately. The post is more about the public reaction and expectations from the characters.

Their feelings resurface only when they are alone. When they are together or in front of others, neither show concern. Both keep reiterating the same thing; we are not bothered about each other.

That’s fine with me because that’s how Kaira always have been. Whilst Kartik resorts to anger, Naira resorts to the indifferent attitude. Right now, the cvs are focusing on the impact this all might have on Kairav but hopefully towards the end of it, Kaira would start empathizing with each other again.

My point is, why the entire blame is always put on Kartik? I am so done with the character bashing which has been happening since months now. Why is he expected to be the perfect man when Naira isn’t perfect either. Both make mistakes but Kartik is expected to beg for forgiveness. Both love the child but Kartik should be the one to let go off him? Its the double standards that astound me.

Omg Twitter is a nightmare. People start bashing there from 6 in the morning and are at it throughout the day. They don't even discuss, they just criticize, mock or complain for the sake of it. I have stopped reading the tweets on the hashtag or even responding to any.

This forum is one place where you can say what you want to, without the fear of being attacked from all sides. People forget there is a difference between actors and characters and that its alright for fictional characters to be wrong.

Tbh, I feel today's episode was the sanest and the realist in a long while. I don't know why people are finding faults with it as well? Naira or Kartik, as of now, haven't prioritized Vedika over their child. Naira had to leave eventually and Kartik did her a favour by letting her do it. He's being criticised for not putting up a fight but I know they would have said the same had he shown more resistance.

We all hate Vedika but its stupid to assume that Naira or Kartik would just ask her to leave the house like that. For Naira, she's the wife and for Kartik, even if wants to seek a separation, it won't just happen in a day.

Exactly my point...Twitter is really bad at it. There are like thousands of them bashing both. What i got to know from todays episode. Naira and kartik both are helpless. Naira cant stay ...and kartik fears letting go. And a major thing is vedika is the person who cares 0 for kartik. Or kdadi whom she claims to love most. Naira and kartik both somewhere or the other have no option. Also this forum is a good place. Atleast no actor is bashed on based on characters.

Also i read a article where it said that kartiks lawyer will tell in front of court that how naira had multiple relationship in goa... and kartik will be shocked... vedika will intiate the divorce...

If this question on character while in goa happens...and kartik doesnt do anything i will just stop watching it all together. Because that is low...it will be same as other serials fingers pointing at girls character....while the boy stands still. I hope this is not true.

I even read that Vedika would initiate the character questioning but Naira would think that Kartik did it, leading to more resentment. I don't trust the spoilers though. They are wrong half the time. Even the promos are only partially correct because by the looks of it, Kartik would initiate the custody case, not Naira.

The actress who's playing the lawyer said her role isn't negative, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I don't think they would show Kartik allowing Naira to be publicly humiliated because there won't be any turning back after that. Even before, they had a proper built-up of Kartik's insecurities which led him to ask that question. He regretted what he did literally a minute after, so of course he won't repeat the same mistake again. If anything, he might lose the case to defend Naira's honor, earning her forgiveness in return.

I guess some viewers are really obsessed with the show otherwise who has time to post on twitter, Instagram, or on you tube videos. This is the only place I discuss the show and I find it much more calm. Are they trying to get the writers to change the story?

They had started the Akhilesh/Liza track and that kind of ended rather quickly so I don't see the point of that track. Both characters have their weaknesses and that is being highlighted in the track. Anyway who knows what's in the mind of the writers.

A parents love for their child is unconditional and pure,..and the truth is it’s the kind of love that never diminishes..so when karthik told swarna he loves kairav more than anything else ...he’s spot on..that’s exactly how any parent feels towards their child. His love for naira is different ..he loves her as his spouse/ partner / companion etc...and I think it’s only once a person becomes a parent that one can fully understand a parents love for their child,.you have to experience it to know what it’s like...
