Gender bias? - Page 2

To be honest I've seen more Naira bashing than Kartik.... So there are groups who defend Naira and those who defend Kartik but at the end of the day both are wrong and both are in a very difficult situation which they can't seem to get out of without hurting themselves and their loved ones. We all wanted Naira to leave Goenka house and I'm happy at last she has but still angry that Vedika is going all the way to Singhaniyas to taunt Naira and throw a hissy fit and still getting all the sympathy from the so called families. But one thing I wish Kartik will stop stressing that it was just a question cuz every time he says that I feel like if only I can give him a punch. That question only meant big if it was cause for death or else its just a question.

I have a what if question in mind and it is kind of a mental roadblock..

What if kairav wasnt born , naira wasnt pregnant when she left kartik? Everyone would have assumed naira is dead. And she won't come back to gv for kartik alone ? So kaira as an entity, disappointed me, doesn't matter who did more..

Kartik and naira should be back with each other for kairav alone ? Not because they were guilty of doing this to each otjer ? Not because of their love for each other ?

Naira is right in leaving goenkas n she is not being mahan..this is just her payback for her foolishness...Vedika, if kartik married her ,deserves the wife status no matter kartik agrees or not. This is what kartik chose for himself. This is his payback for his foolishness and dadi ka pyar. Custody battle means both will put blames on each other , cry buckets outside the court and curse the destiny. Nothing will make sense ..one fine day vedika will get fed up of them and leave them hence paving way for the happy reunion.

Viewers are tired of the negative track and it's only going to get worse before it gets better. I think now we watch each episode bracing ourselves for how low they will go. It's becoming unbearable.

A parents love for their child is unconditional and pure,..and the truth is it’s the kind of love that never diminishes..so when karthik told swarna he loves kairav more than anything else ...he’s spot on..that’s exactly how any parent feels towards their child. His love for naira is different ..he loves her as his spouse/ partner / companion etc...and I think it’s only once a person becomes a parent that one can fully understand a parents love for their child,.you have to experience it to know what it’s like...

Like that, we can have numerous what if’s. If Naira wasn’t pregnant, she wouldn’t have skipped dinner and gone to doctor’s appointment instead. Kartik wouldn’t have assumed she was working that late with MK.

If she wasn’t pregnant, she wouldn’t have left the pooja and gone to the hospital. She would have informed Kartik she’s going to the wedding venue to meet MK. She wouldn’t have fainted and ended up in MK’s hotel room.

MK and Naira wouldn’t have come out of the room together and Mitali wouldn’t have instigated Kartik by sending him the video.

Thus, Kartik wouldn’t have questioned Naira and Naira wouldn’t have left at all.

This just proves that it’s not Kartik or Naira’s, but Kairav’s fault for getting conceived 🤣.

Jokes aside, both have done things to hurt each other and are bearing the consequences of their actions. Kartik definitely had to bear more than Naira because he mourned for her. At least she knew he was alive and had the chance to return to him if that’s what she wanted. For him, she was gone forever.

Also, she had Kairav and still has him. Kartik didn’t even know he had a son for 5 years and now his son has been taken away from him.

From my perspective Naira was also bashed for running away, faking her death and for being an irresponsible mother...infact I personally wanted her to get slapped...but than when she get slapped...I criticized the person (BM) who slapped her....we naturally feel empathy towards character whom we see suffering...we have seen Kartik suffering every single day, marking days, loving Naira beyond his own self, repenting...but we haven't seen Naira's suffering...by suffering I don't mean we haven't seen her crying....we have seen her crying almost everyday...but suffering is not only confined crying or missing family...we haven't seen how she built a life from the scratch without anyone whom she knew in Goa...during previous leap after Shubham's death...she tried to contact Kartik several times...shown in FB...but Kartik never got to know that she contacted him...they could have shown her contacting him to inform him about Kairav...I sometimes feel writer didn't do full justice to writing for Naira post pregnancy track...she didn't get a proper mourning scene after her first born's death....in attempt to make Naira superwoman, single mother post 5 year leap...they compromise with her journey, hardships, struggles and most of all her pain and redemption...she was never shown marking days like Kartik...so on seeing her marked days...I felt nothing....regarding Kartik prioritizing Kairav over Naira...like Naira always prioritized Kairav over Kartik prioritizing Kairav is fine...but Kartik during Janmashtmi episodes had a scene where he said "I can't let you go Naira"..."How can I let you go?"....which suggested he didn't want Naira to leave that's why he wanted Kairav to stay in GV....there is inconsistency in writing...still there is nothing wrong in prioritizing a part of you over anyone else...but him saying "the days I will be separated from Kairav will be marked in my heart"...there is nothing wrong in demanding child to stay with you but I think rarely court give custody of minor child to father....visitation rights are confined to days...so if Kartik and Naira are divorced/separated non-custodian parent will have to see the child on days decided by court...they can't go out of the way to make child stay with them for longer duration...decisions like where child will stay is decided by custodian...till he/she is an adult....Kartik want Kairav to stay with him but than Naira being natural custodian of minor Kairav can't stay under same roof with his wife for long duration...should Naira leave Kairav with Kartik and stay wherever she wants to?....Kartik doesn't want Naira back in his life as he didn't communicate with her regarding that...he didn't communicate with his wife regarding her status in his life...he want Kairav...he want to make up for the days he lost...so ideally in order to let Kartik make up for the days he lost...Naira should let Kairav stay with Kartik and Vedika and be a non-custodian parent in order to redeem?...or to make up for the days Kartik lost without Kairav?...they can have a joint custody...but in joint physical custody too...one parent has sole legal custody....Kairav won't be able to live with Kartik only...if they have joint custody...but If Naira decides to leave city without informing Kartik...he must file custody case...

I am not watching the show at the moment, but I am going through those hashtags and bloopers, in hope of having a proper track, so that I can start watching this drama again.

Regarding, the first post of the topic maker, I don't agree with "gender bias" accusation being used specifically against the one who post for Naira. And it is further made clear in the subsequent replies, as to how fans of Naira as well as fans of Kartik, have equally participated in shaming the other character. Also personally, I have seen more accusations being pointed at Naira, a tad more than that at Kartik. So, it's wrong to call out for "gender bias" issue, just against Kartik. At this point, Naira as well as Kartik have their fair share of mistakes that they need to talk about.

Regarding the apologising part, I agree, but at the moment neither Kartik nor Naira, are at a point where they have to apologise. They, both, have accepted their mistake already. So for what further apology is needed, when they no longer what to mend their relationship?

At this point of time, I believe it's Creatives' who are to be solely blamed. The are ruining the characters and plotline with each episodes. They are taking up various independent plot scenarios, but are unable to complete and justify any scenarios, probably the reason that it is creating lots of mess and chaos around.

The only part, where this drama is having some realistic content, is the love and care for a child by parents.

I had lots of expectation with the 5 year leap. They had so many sensible storyline to focus on.

Hardships of a single mom. Even if Naira chose this for herself, it was not a paradise for her.

Kartik's guilt of accusations, even when, Kaira loved each other so much.

The understanding of gravity of accusation of character and it's impact on the concerned person.

Guilt and hopelessness of a father, and a mother's plight.

Working on Kaira's misunderstanding irrespective of Goenka's and Kairav's influence.

Vedika's expected common sense and her stand on how Goenka family used her one sided love against her for their own pleasure, instead of being idiotic abla naari.

And few more. There are actually many plotline at the moment, that will be so much realistic and "positive". But Creatives are really creating a mess of plotline which will either take them months and months to sort out, or they will just drop it in middle like an insignificant plot like that of Surekha and Akhil. I can go on and on at the glitches creatives' are making for.

Coming back to Naira Vs. Kartik, here is another snag in creatives' character portrayal. And it's really poor.

I can see Naira's take on this mess of situation because she is to an extent vocalising her thoughts to viewers at the right time, as for Kartik, special mention to amazing portrayal of the character by Mohsin, but writers are confused as to what to show of Kartik's take on this situation. Creatives' are like buying time with Kartik's portrayal, as if they are confused with what to show of Kartik. There was plenty of time to clarify, by now, that Kartik is there as just a father or has a sense of being Vedika's husband or what his equation exactly is with Naira along with Kairav. I am not sure if I am able to express myself, here with what I want to say. It's just that Creatives are ruining it, majorly, with their story telling, for me.

And on a lighter note, a side note to people praising this forum's "sanity" : I have seen a lot of this too (through this ID and more than a decade old ID of which I have forgotten the password to), and it is really a hypothetical reality to call fans in this forum "sane". But, of course, some posts and discussions are actually good and sane enough, too. :P
