normally cults make some of their members get into reputed fields like politics,law,medical field etc etc. Jim Jones cult People's church had some very reputed Republican politician members. Later they left though n Jim got scared of govt arresting him n flew his whole cult to Guyana n they built a town of their own in dense forest called Jonestown. When congressman n some reporters from US came to check what was going on some people passed notes to him that they want to leave they feel stuck there. Sad part is Jim Jones actually worked a lot for inclusion n desegregation of black n white people,n most of his followers actually we're were good people who wanted to make a better world free of discrimination.
