this is an indie production will probably get few screens and then go straight to home video. the trailer released yesterday and has 5000 views on YT, clearly its an indie product

i hope they approach a good distributor or production house in india it can do well here, otherwise, it shall go unnoticed.

Yeah, this movie can do well in India if it gets a good release. And Charlie's Angels franchise is also popular in India so it can be a clash.

Yes that’s true but I think it’s getting praise because of that as well :) English/accent/dialogues .....imho.

Kangana truly gave her 100% in the movie and displayed such versatility in character - she has raised the bar very high!

I agree on the performance part however what disappointed were the action/battle scenes. they were too rushed esp the climax, she gets defeated in 5 mins flat whereas we all have read in books that the final battle went on days with parties overthrowing each other, this was shown in old jhansi ki rani movie. In the end, however the rani goes outnumbered and leaves the battlefield, later gets surrounded by British soldiers, now there r two theories, either she had fallen from the cliff or she reached a village totally wounded and her body was cremated by the villagers. MANIKARNIKA did not show any of these which was very disappointing.

Once again the west will make money off of Indians lol, so now theres a Jhansi Ki Rani being made in english and in the usa ?? Why didnt you go watch Jhansi Ki Rani that released in India?

Did Kangana praise this movie on Jhansi bai? After all its about this brave woman not who enacts the role.

Gandhi film had all Indians speak in English and yet it was an Epic. Am sure this will be way better and more authentic than the Horrible Dhankila item song filled crap of a film that was released here
