he title of her serial maybe Main Aisi Kyun Hoon but Nazneen Patel who plays the protagonist convinces you that it is a realistic soap bringing out natural emotions and reactions in a girl. As Sanjana, Nazneen portrays a girl with an hyper-imaginative mind. "Sanjana's ex-boyfriend is married and when his wife says Siddharth is cute, Sanjana gets irritated and in her mind she sees her hitting her in a boxing ring," explains Nazneen. For Nazneen who has played a negative role just before this serial, "this was a welcome change. Usually producers tend to typecast us but I am grateful to Paresh Rawal Productions that they convinced the channel to give me a chance in this positive role," informs the actress. What makes her upbeat about the serial is that unlike other soaps where the women are shown to have a high level of tolerance and sacrifice themselves for other's happiness, Sanjana is very real. "She is not a devi ma. She fights for herself. The serial's on the lines of Shanti or Rajni," she stresses. No wonder then, Nazneen who has half-a-dozen serials as parallel lead or negative to her credit, including Bhabhi, Kaahin Kissi Roz and Palki, is enthused about her first lead role. The actress has also done a film called Good Luck with Ranvir Shorey which is scheduled for a November release. That's something Nazneen needs in abundance...luck we mean.

She has been very very lucky...after that horrible role she played in Palki I am surprised she was selected for this role...Good luck now.

She is a versatile actress..
She was a tomboy in Neena Gupta's Kyun hota hai pyar on star plus.. in Palki she played negative.. in Pancham, she was very simple and down to earth and looked best in all her roles
