When a couple start living together they start getting to know each others habits and character just by oberving each other. Thats why rukhsati is so necessary asap. I am saying this from a personal experience. My gap between nikkah and rukhsati was barely 6 months but it still created many issues and i still regret it. they were other ways to show the consummation

even if they didnt want to show sadia drunk, they could have shown both emotionally weak for aaliya health, and it happens
