Its dedicated to all the members of Anupre/ Parica AT and Parth/Anurag AT and ofcourse to all the Anupre fans đ¤

âPrerna...Prerna you can't be serious darwaza kholo please" Anurag knocked on his room's door once again. It has been 15 mins. Their first night after marriage and he was locked out. Why? He had no idea.
"Anurag sab thak ke so rahe hai. Mujhe bhi sone do. Shut up and get lost" Came a fierce reply as soon as the door was pulled open and then shut right on his face, all within a second. And he blinked in disbelief.
It was their perfect day today. Their marriage was solemnized in the most beautiful fashion and everyone was so happy. Prerna was now his legally wedded wife. The happiness that he felt in his heart couldnât be compared to any feat he had achieved in his whole life. The radiance on her face told him that she felt the same too. She looked ethereal as his bride. And he so wanted to take her in his arms.He had waited for the night to fall so that he could have her to him. And now when the time has come. Here he was. Doing what? Contemplating to break his bedroom door.
âLadkiya shaadi ke baad badal jaati hai, suna tha. But ladki toh kuch jyada hi tejnikaliâ he mutteredto himself.
Right then a flustered looking Anupam walked upto him, still scratching his head. "Anu sab gadbad ho gayi yaar" he sounded apologetic.
"Gadbad, really? Yahan apni shaadi wali raat⌠pata nahi kyun⌠main apne room ke bahar watchman wala kaam kar raha hoon, aur aap keh rahe hain gadbad ho gayi?" irritated, Anurag charged at Anupam, placing his hands on his waist.
âYehi hona chahiye tumhare saath!â walked in Nivedita followed by Shivani who hadstayed back after wedding on Niveditaâs insistence. While Nivedita was flustered, Shivani was trying hard to control her laughter.
âNivi DiâŚAap??â Anurag began but was cut off by Nivedita again.
âSharam karo Anu. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum itne desperate act karogeâ Nivedita accused him. âRehnedo na DiâŚâ Shivani spoke amidst giggling. She was the only one who seemed to be finding the situation funny.
Anurag was confused. âPar maine kiya kya hai?â Nivedita looked at him wide-eyed,he really had the audacity to ask this, she wondered and then turned to Anupam, âAaj raat tum bhi apne liye koi aur thikana dhoond lo.â She said and stomped off.
âLo ab mera bhi desh nikala ho gayaâ lamented Anupam and Shivani broke into a fit of laughter.
âMujhe koi please batayega ki ho kya raha haiâ Anurag asked. He was on the verge of pulling out his hair.
âAaj raatke ke liye toh apne room main access bhool jao, jijuâ Shivani giggled again much to Anuragâs chagrin. âAapke itna mast parcel mangwaya hai ki uske baad, Priyu Di darwaza toh nahi kholne waliâ she continued.
âParcel? Kaunsa parcel? Maine koi parcel nahi mangwayaâ he clarified.
âToh phir aapke liye kisi ne gift bheja hogaâ she winked at him.
âWhat! But aisa tha kya us parcel main? Why am I being accused? Aur bheja kisne tha?â he asked all at once, holding onto the last thread of his patience.
âMaineâŚâ blurted Anupam. Apologetic and scared at the same time, he looked from Shivani to Anurag.
Anurag frowned.âKya? But aisa kya parcel bheja aapne?â he asked.
"Arre mujhe kya pata tha aisa hoga. Main toh teri help kar raha tha. Mujhe laga tu is maamle main thoda shy hoga toh teri setting kar raha tha" he suddenly had a mischievous undertone.
Shivani gaped at them. âOk⌠ok⌠ok⌠I think mujhe yeh nahi sun na. Kahin too much info na ho jaaye⌠Main jaati hoonâ she practically ran away from them not wanting to hear anything more.
Anurag was confused. Forcing a smile and narrowing his eyes, he placed his hands on Anupamâs shoulders and inquired, âAnupam⌠is baar⌠is setting ke chakkar main kya kiya aapne?â
"Maine woh......." he leaned forward and whispered his shenanigans in Anurag's ears as Anurag's expressions changed from shock to disbelief and finally settling on being aghast. "You did what?" his eyes popped out of its sockets as he controlled his urge to punch Anupam right across his face.
"Arre but, it was meant for you. Highly confidential, likha bhi tha... Phir bhi Nivi kekehne pe Prerna opened it." Anupam complained. "Ab isme meri kya galti hai ki Shivani aur Nivi ne woh dekh liya. Main bol raha hoon, apni biwi ko meri biwi se door rakh, nahi toh mere jaisa haal hoga" he continued as Anurag stood rooted. Flabbergasted, Anu could only facepalm. "Kuch bol bhi" Anupam shook him back.
"Bolu? Kya bolu? Kuch bolne layak choda aapne?" he didn't know what was he to do now. Die of embarrassment or kill his best man! "Aap ek kaam kijiye, aaj ke liye... Abhi keliye... Aap jaaiye." he breathed controlling his anger, after all, hecouldn't be convicted of murder on his wedding night.
"Lekin..." Anupam began only to be cut off by Anuragâs cold glare.
"Jata hoon... Bhalai ka toh zamana hi nahi hai" saying he walked away.
Anurag shifted his attention back to his room. He simply felt like banging his head on the wall. Gathering some courage, he knocked again, a little softly, "Prerna, please... See I know, tum upset ho. But please..." he tried lamely. He knew she would be pretty embarrassed and angry. "Anupam, if I survive this, you are so dead" he muttered.
After a moment, he knocked again and said âTheek hai, toh tum door nahi open karogi, right? Fine, Iâll sleep with the other guests in the guest room then. Sab ko dekhne do ki aate hi bechare Anurag per uski biwi kitne julm karne lagi haiâhe ratified in a pitiful tone. A moment later, the door was pulled open and there stood his beautiful wife blocking his entry to their room.
"Abbhi ander aane nahi dogi?" he asked calmly.
"Dhamki de rahe ho. Woh bhi shaadi ki first night pe?" Prerna narrowed her eyes at him.
"Ab biwi atyachaar karegi toh bechara pati aur kya karega?" he made a puppy face and nudged his way in the room. Before Prerna could react, he made his way towards the bed.
She frowned. Holding her heavy red lehnga, she marched upto him, "Khabardaar. You are not sleeping there" she bellowed as he was about to settle on his side of the bed.
He loved the melody created by the sweet sounds of her anklets and her bangles as she moved around the room. "Haan toh kisne kaha ki main sona chahta hoon"he winked at her playfully. Didnât she look cute with that angry pout? Apparently not just cute, he pondered as he eyed her.
"Oye ladke. Kitne besharam ho tum" she waved her index finger in his face.
"Ae ladki, pati ko parmeshwar kehte hain, besharam nahi" he played along and locked his finger with her.
âParmeshwar, my footâ she gritted her teeth as she tried to step away from him but he circled her waist with his other hand and pulled her close.
Making futile attempts to free herself, she demanded, âchodo mujheâ.
He was enjoying her proximity as she glared at him and her angry pout quivered. He leaned in dangerously close and whispered, "Bewarehaan ladki, ab kiss karne se pehle na warn karunga na bhaagne ka mauka doongaâ
Stunned, she gaped at him and he stifled a laugh at her expressions. Annoyed, she stomped on his feet, catching him off guard. As he muffled a cry, she jumped out of his hold.
âServes you well!â she mocked as she moved towards the sofa.
âReally?â he asked indignantly.
âReally! Aur ab mujhe tumse baat hi nahi karniâ she huffed.
âBaat nahi karni. About that parcel, arre baba isme meri kya galti hai?â he asked exasperated.
Pressing her lips tight, she turned her face away and he looked around the room to spot an unfamiliar envelope resting on his desk.
He sighed hard as he remembered Anupamâs doings. He walked towards his desk and eyed the unsealed envelope. Sparing her a glace, he guardedly pulled out the contents from it. And what he saw, mortified him. The envelope had a book and a small packet.
âA Step-by-step guide to please your wife on your first nightâ, the fancy title supported by an even fancier visual. He gritted his teeth as Anupamâs audacity. He was Anurag, Anurag Basu for heavenâs sake! How could Anupam... Anupam was going to pay dearly for this, he decided. But right now, he wasnât going to let this stupid joke spoil the most beautiful night of his life.
From the corner of his eyes, he saw her secretly eyeing him and he quickly pushed the contents back in. It was awkward. All of a sudden very awkward.
And then suddenly he burst into peals of laughter.
She turned to him. Not knowing what was so funny. Here she was dying out of embarrassment and he was laughing. She didnât even know how she would face Shivani and Nivi Di tomorrow. They had seen the contents too.
She recollected what had happened when Nivedita and Shivani had escorted her to their room. Debu Daa had walked in with the parcel just then. She was hesitant to open it but Nivi Di had encouraged her saying that she was now Anuragâs wife and there shouldnât be any secrets between them. As the contents of the envelope spilled out, she was mortified. While Nivedita felt her predicament, Shivani after a moment of silence hard started laughing saying that her jiju was really very thoughtful. Nivedita had mock slapped her arm in response but Prerna by then had turned red.
Anurag held on to his stomach as he looked at her making funny faces. He walked upto her and fell on the sofa beside her still laughing.
âTum has rahe ho?â she complained.
âLook at your faceâ He pointed at her.
âIts not funnyâ she said crossly.
âAcha then what is it?â he whispered in her ear.
She pulled back immediately. âAnurag⌠tum⌠tumhe pata hai Shivani kitna has rahi thi mujh par. Aur kya⌠kya hai woh. Aisa parcel⌠aisa parcel kaun bhejta hai⌠chiâŚâshe expressed ruefully.
âArre toh tum unhe bata deti na?â he asked mischievously.
âKya bata deti?â she asked innocently.
He put his arm around her shoulder, âYehi ki I, I mean⌠your husband doesnât need that step by step guideâ he winked pointing at the envelope.
Her mouth fell open and colour rushed to her cheeks, âAnurag⌠tumâŚâ she tried to push his hand away as he continued to tease her⌠âhaan bata deti na ki⌠your husband knows how to please his wife⌠toh woh log nahi hasteâ he completed as she winced trying to come out of his hold, feeling too shy all of a sudden. She winced as he laughed at her.
âAcha baba sorryâ he apologized as he sensed her discomfiture, even though not intentionally. She turned to him and at that moment, her gaze softened too. How could she ever be upset with this grown up man, who had just shifted from beside her on the sofa to kneel on the ground in front of her. His eyes that beckoned her to him held so much sincerity that it made her heart swell. She couldnât even pretend to be angry with him for long.
As he came in front of her, she leaned forward to place a kiss on his forehead. âThank youâ she whispered, smiling tearfully.
âThanks? For what?â he wiped her tear and continued, âtumhe rulane ke liyeâ he sounded disappointed with himself. And she chuckled.
âTumhe pata hai, tumhari reputation kuch jyada hi kharab haiâ she joked and as he frowned she pointed at the envelope and continued, âAur nahi toh kya, why would anyone otherwise send thatâ she laughed and he gawked at her, not believing what she just said.
âAe ladkiâŚtumâŚâ he started but she shushed him by placing her index finger on his lips.
Holding his hand, she continued, âMujhe pata hai ki tumhe lagta hai ki tum lucky ho kyunki main tumhare saath hoon. But trust me, main bhi utni hi lucky hoon. Thank you for everything. Thank you for coming into my life.â she gave him a smile for which he could lay down his life at this very moment.
âYou are my lifeâ he professed and took her in his embrace.
He picked her up from the sofa and placed her on the bed softly. She smiled as he cuddled her and he silently vowed to himself to safeguard her smile, always. Their journey had just begun and they had a lifetime to nurture this togetherness. Moonlight filled their room as they found their peace in each otherâs arms.
