Snape was victim of bullying n harrasement which lead him to join a cult n he did what he thought will make his lord happy n he regretted his action, even though it was after knowing about lili bt still he wanted to change it save them n afterwards he did turn arround saved the child even though lili was dead..

He regretted his action n gave his entire life away in that guilt, he was a Goodman who did bad stuff.. <3

what made him bad guy at some point imo is he really did blv in blood supremacy, heard the prophecy and gave the news to Voldemort knowing very well Voldemort would kill this child, he was ok with a child being dead when he didn't know it was Lily's son n would endanger her. James grew past this thing's imo. So did Lupin. Snape n Sirius could not move on from high school rivalry , specially Snape

You just don't forget getting bullied like that, it's easy for James to forget it bcoz he was the bully n not the victim, snape was mocked shamed in front of whole school..

Outing Lupin I think he was genuinely worried about kids n him working there... In Azkaban if not fir snape lupin would have attacked the trio..
