Why did he stop writing? He last wrote Shuddh Desi Romance and that was a good 6 years ago?

yrf RUINED his career after rocket singh didn't work, he stopped getting work as a writer...

now he's a lyricist, last he wrote songs for andhadhun

I thought Shuddh Desi romance did well and even in song writing he has a 3-4 year break. Even there he's written for YRF (Befikre and Hichki) before he did Andhadhun.

Rocket Singh wasnt an outright flop. The budget was 5 cr and it ended up upwards of 30 crores, no?

I did some news search- no controversies- nothing came up. Isnt it very curious?
