Life was not the same for actress Nushrat Bharucha, who has was last seen in a music video with Guru Randhawa. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress, who became the lead actress for a number of Luv Ranjan films opened up about her days of struggle.

During a media interaction for her upcoming film Dream Girl, the actress revealed that she was rejected when she auditioned for the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.

In a recent interview, Nushrat revealed she auditioned for the role of Latika and was even successful in impressing the makers with her acting skills. But what went wrong? She said that it was because of her good looks that she was denied the role because the makers felt she does not look like a girl coming from the slum area. The roe was later bagged by Frieda Pinto and the rest remains history.

So danny rejected her for being gorgeous but chose freida who continues to find place in the world's most beautiful woman list every yr!

She further explained how the entire team sat with her and explained that she does not look like a girl coming from the slum area. The role was finally offered to actress Freida Pinto.

Danny did rejected most indian actor and actresses because they looked good and did not have it too look coming from slum.

I believe this might have happened though looking at a movie like slumdog millionaire.obviously dark skinned = slum ppl , according to the maker.
