So indirectly mickey is trying to make her prepared for the time after wedding. its not the physical preparation that mini is doing, its about the mental preparation that she needs

Couldn't it be done in a more subtle manner? I understand him preparing her mentally for not another pizza fiasco although the pizza fiasco wasn't really anyone's fault...

But again, my question is, is the timing right? I feel not. I'll give my personal example again. On my sister's wedding, 10 minutes before Barat's arrival, my sister went in to see the decor and she started fussing over the sofa. She needed it changed then and there. It wasn't the one she had asked for. I told her its okay, it looks nice but nope. She needed what she had asked for. And I got that done. Does that mean I have associated my happiness with my sister's because I was focusing on making sure everything was perfect for my sister's day? No. For that day, maybe yes, for life, no!

I understand with Minnie and Babita things are different but still.

Role reversal, if it was Babes running around getting Minnie's mehndi and dress fixed, would someone have told her to start thinking about her own happiness, and she needs to learn to live without Minnie, and un-associate her happiness with Minnie's and all that gayan he gave? No. No one would. Because that was just not the time...

I am not saying what Mickey said was wrong. I'll repeat that a million times. I am just saying the timings were wrong. All she said was that perfect mehndi and perfect bridal dress will keep her Babes happy (or something along those lines). I don't think this was the time or the situation's demand!

Oh no, I completely agree with you on the timing. He brought it up once, it was fine but he doesn't need to keep doing it. He needs to consider the situations. I guess he was trying to plant some seeds so that she can think about them later on. But if he expects her to act upon them right away, then I'm not with him.

I am okay with planting seeds, but this wasn't the situation or the time. Also, I feel it could have been done in a more subtle way... this was too direct and too annoying!

Mickey would never have anything bad for anyone, let alone Mini Babes. I just feel that it was unnecessary at that point. Infact I'm amazed how he has such a deep understanding of Mini and Babes. That boy is awesome.

Of course they will! Without doubt.

I think both will eventually start finding happiness out of each other- Mini in her career and friends and Babes in HS and catering service.

... which would only strengthen the relationship between mother and daughter and not weaken it!

Respectable distance in any relationship is very important, otherwise each one gets hurt often and without anyone's fault. I want that space and that distance, with each dealing her own problem and emerging triumphant.

I loved how the room wasn't shining and glittering, all spick and span when Mini cleaned it.

I'm sure had it been some other show, it would've been perfect but here, it looked like actually recently clean, that too by a single person. The walls were still dirty and there were spots on them, out of years of being shut. The furniture wasn't all arranged and it looked like work in progress. The photo frames were spotted and old. Btw that photo looked so authentic and genuine! Wow I'm amazed, it did look like a Haryanvi woman of 80s, I could feel the face speaking.

Brilliant job by production team, set designer for that!

Yeahh!

And the bit where Minnie told HS not to enter the room or he'll get it dirty; so he removed his shoes and then entered. << I know there's something going on there but I can't get into it since I have to go to work soon.

But the whole episode was amazing! Really want to hear what Jean has to say about it.

We also need to consider Mickey's background. He comes from a pind where families are very conservative and strict. His dad had even arranged for him to meet a girl and hadn't really left a choice to say no. Don't know Mickey's exact age but think about it; his family was planning on getting him married a very young age. The boy hasn't even finished his studies or gained a job. Him coming from a rich family doesn't erase the fact that he has his own desires.

Living out the hostel gave him the chance to explore his own wants and found a way to be happy outside of his familial expectations. It's not completely necessary for children's happiness to be so tightly woven with their parents.

That's Mickey's experience, from what I can tell. He understands Minnie & Babes have a completely different relationship and that it is unconditional but I don't think he understands the full depth of it. He may not the daily taunts that Babes had to hear, nor did he witness firsthand the nasty comments that were made to her by Ashok and everyone else. He's growing and learning and he may be a bit over bearing at the moment, but I genuinely think he has only has Minnie's best intentions.

No one is doubting his intentions, at least not me... I like him overall. And thank you for giving me this perspective... I didn't think along those lines...

Hope they give back nicely to katri tomorrow and hope they won't show any insecurities for Minni...
