One of the big reasons for not showing Anu as villian is Karan's uncertainty in continuing with this role. They can't afford to make one ML negative when other is not permanent. If KSG leaves RB will not survive with any other actor and redemption arc can not be given to this type of negativity. Hence my belief it is not Anu's plan. But I could be wrong . I am returning to television after long may be everything has changed over time.

He must have gone back only after he found out it was EX correct?

IMO it was good to see him concerned about ex but still I can’t help but will feel disappointment in his characterization bc he did not stop to help out even if it was to stop at a distance from the scene. He could have followed them to hospital and waited out

Again it’s too early to comment until we get entire picture on what actually happened there
