His father has been undergoing treatment for cancer, a man who has always had a rocky relationship with, but he still knows as dad, that now he might lose forever and have to be strong for his mom and sister. I think he has been with Alia since around Rishi got cancer. That's a lot for a family to go through. I say we give Ranbir a break for not smiling all the time, he probably has a lot of things and emotions going on. He hasn't said he is depressed, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he is though. And before someone @ me by attaching a recent pic of Ranbir smiling or looking happy, I am referring to the fact that lately Ranbir just hasn't been doing it as much. Just food for thought.
Also his career has been teetering for a long time now (Sanju being the only exception). But yeah his dad's cancer would definitely have hit him much harder.
