Teachers and principles get called Kadak😆

Loll, really? I've heard Kadak be used as hot before. Unless I'm thinking of a word that sounds oddly similar to it?

I have heard Kadak being referred as hot or even intense before too.

There is a phrase known as Kadak Chai....but is meant to denote a STRONG chai/tea, not a hot one.

So in general, Kadak is used to convey strength or strictness in slang as far as I've grown up hearing.

Maybe it's subjective for people *shrugs*

I'm not sure how you all seem to have interpreted the scene of HS imagining Babita in the cop avatar....but I did not get any sense of him calling Babita hot in that scene....Laale has also called HS "kadak" a bunch of times to convey his sense of strict discipline.

I think Daddyji would sound quite sweet from Mini for HS too....if I think to myself, I can imagine that fitting into their scenes as they have conversations.

Daddyji sounds super cute. I can see Mini calling HS that 👍🏼

I know it doesn't sound modern but there are a few reasons for it. First of all, because I have always wanted her to take on some of his Haryanvi heritage, which she subconsciously seems to be doing more and more of. He has this rustic quality, which she is slowly adopting in bits and pieces, so bapu would fit right in. Secondly, because HS used to call his father that but he never seems to speak fondly of him, perhaps because they didn't have a good relationship. Minnie calling him that would give that word a different meaning, so that he can experience what he would have wanted to with his father. He made a promise not to be her sharaabi bapu. Know what I mean?

Thirdly, maybe she can call him Hanuman Uncle for the rest of her life, and there would be nothing wrong with it. However, the whole blood tie and the fact that he isn't her biological father is still simmering under the surface. He is still insecure about her and she still hasn't accepted him 100% as her father. She does call herself his daughter to his face but there is still something holding her back on some deep psychological level. It will take time and when that happens I can imagine that calling him bapu will signal the closing of that gap to both of them, the weight of this word making it immutable.

Fourthly, I don't want her to call him Papa or Papa ji because it resembles what she calls Ashok. HS deserves to be called something different.

Last, but not the least, people in the forum know about this wish of mine. What started off as a running joke has become more serious since HS claimed to be her father, and even if a lot of members here don't want her to call him bapu or don't care either way, some are just indulging me and cheering me on. smiley36

And this is why I want your dream to come true.🤗 It's sound, emotional and really heart warming. 😳

LMAO, I don't think he was thinking of her as hot and I I didn't interpret it that way either. Can't really explain it but it wasn't singular element. I think for me it was a mixture of strictness, strength, and also zor daar if that makes sense?? Like, she has SUCH a strong personality that you can't ignore it even if you wanted to.

Chhori, tu to ghana emotional kar gayi mhaare ko. Thanks a lot!

And you just had to choose that gif of Minnie helping him put on that jacket and admiring how he looks in it, didn't you? 😆
