LMAO, that pros and cons list is one of my absolute favorites, especially Babita saying HS has a gunde wali shakal. 🤣 I've often wondered if they would ever revisit the list and update it. Most importantly, whether or not her opinion has changed on his shakal. 😉

@Mahi - I think Imma rewatch some of the older episodes too. Just look at how far we have come from those days. <3

@bold: They should totally revisit. Hanuman should remind Babita on it because I remember he saw the list too .. He should ask, her "apko mahri shakal abhi bhi gunde jaise lagti hain?" 😆

I have also wondered if they would revisit the pros and cons scene. I have a feeling they will and it would definitely be awesome if he asks them if they still think he has a gunde jaisi shakl.

When Mini told HS that Khatri had chhedoed Babita, the way HS turns his head towards Khatri and says, "Khatri, tu Maa chhedta hai?"😆.....just something about the way he said that was so amusing to me.....lol the humor element was very well balanced in that scene.

The other thing I loved was how HS-Babita's first interaction was not the typical slow motion, breeze blowing, eyelocking stuff that is staple fare on TV.....it was literally the most casual interaction you could think of which is how two people meeting for the first time in such circumstances would be.

Anyways, since we were talking about that chair scene, I ended up making a couple of gifs on it as well.....lol

Man, how far has Mini come.....she was just filled with so much angst and anger back then for all she had had to face....like the chair scene shows, HS literally pulled her back from the brink....otherwise her anger was on the path of utterly consuming her.

I loved the way he sat on Friday is desk and commented on her violent behavior, then asked if she was part of a gang. Also when he asked Khatri "tu Maa chhedta hai" I had a feeling he was referring to Khatri troubling older women. He had no idea Minnie's mother would be a kam sin kali herself. 😆

Yes, HS did pull her from the brink. What I loved was that even though Minnie was brave and fought for the right reason, e was still arrested and held accountable for the right reason. Also loved how HS asked Lala to bring milk for Minnie when she refused tea, so that's her complexion wouldn't become dark. Brilliant writing there that I fell in love with. Balance of humor and serious topics plus a dig at such a mindset.

Now I need to watch those things again! <3

Honestly, I fell in love with HS in the resignation scene. The diligence in his eyes and those emotions just bowled me over. And then during the Imarti case, when there was a major throwback to that scene, I couldn't help but accept the wonderous and intricate writing

CVs need a standing ovation for that!

Me too, I fell for him then and the throwback was just something else. I often go back and watch old episodes and what amazes me is that even if the characters have grown the writing has still kept their essence intact.

I had posted here too, in the very early days, that I wanted HS to be a widower. And voila, it turned true! Initially I was apprehensive if they would follow the Dabangg path but then Hanuman Singh is a label and category all by himself now

@bold, just said this in another post but his yo baat phinal hai and what followed sealed the deal for me.

I think this role of HS has become a benchmark of sorts.

Wait, do people actually believe they'll get darker from drinking tea? 😆

@bold that's what I also noticed when I saw that scene. I get it that he's a tough cop, but single-handedly doing that without moving the rest of his body significantly and that too while Minnie was about to swing it, was really impressive. Also that he dropped the chair to his side without even glancing at it and carried on with what he was doing, as if the chair had been weightless.

Yup! It was almost as if her choice of weapon was irrelevant to him. What mattered was the child before him and the immense anger she was harboring within herself.

Also loved how the moment she called him Uncle his demeanor changed and he did indeed feel responsible for her. She had unknowingly set off a chain reaction and had sealed their fate in that moment.

Yes, it's a common superstition in India😆....especially in the North.....cuz everyone's obsessed with fairness and complexion all the time😆.

HS making that comment just lent more authenticity to his rustic Haryanvi vibe....that's exactly how someone from a village background would talk.
