Can I name some regional actors..... Most Marathi actors have struggled a lot to reach where they are.... I know the trio of ankush Chowdhury, Bharat Jadhav and Kedar Shinde have even sold vegetables on the streets of Mumbai just so they can collect finances for their plays..... Some others have come from low income families where they didn't even have enough to eat...

Then TV actor Shashank Vyas used to share his house with 4 other people and the ceiling used to leak and they would try to find any dry piece of flooring to their temporary bed and sleep...

I find these struggles real and comparitively bollywood celebs struggle little lame....

Actors : Shah,Nawaz,Pankaj Tripathi yeh log kahaan se kahaan pahuch gaye zindagi mein

Actresses : Madhubala, Vidya, Deepika.

Least : Kareena,Alia,Sonam and (no improvement the worst) Salman ( from a good actor became non actor,also a criminal so there's that lmao)

Do you guys know that Shammi Kapoor's wife Geeta Bali's family used to live in a bathroom before she got into bollywood..... The first time some director / producer went to her house, her father placed a wooden plank on a water bucket to make seat for that person......

Among the actors it's Shahid. No one could ever imagine that he would be able to nail the angry roles when he debuted as a chocolate boy in Ishq Vishq. I was not his fan in the beginning. But I began to admire him when I watched his performance in Jab We Met and Kismat Konnection. Then he surprised us in movies like Kaminey and Haider. His arc changed a lot if we compare his beginning career to his current one. Shahid never ever stopped for a while even when his movies didn't work well at the Box Office, not every actor is capable of doing so. Must respect towards him for that.

Among the actresses it's Vidya. She was an underrated actress in the beginning of her career, but later on she kept choosing scripts where she could showcase her acting skill well. And now she is one of the very well known actresses in Bollywood and her performances never failed to connect to the audience till date.

Actors- Srk the ultimate underdog who became king khan, Akshay from very modest and humble beginnings to Forbes list, Ayushmann, Rajkummar and Sushant are work in progress. Actresses- Vidya Balan sheer class, Tabu can give biggest stars competition in screen presence. Least respected- Karan Johar😡, Arjun, Alia, Kangana should have been in Most respected list but ruined it

Even in commercial films like Hum dil de chuke sanam, devdas etc she was annoying with her bad acting.... who can forget her over the top act in HDDCS in that "jhoola" sequence where she cut her veins and screeches and shouts in such plastic & unconvincing way that it took away the beauty and intensity of that particular scene.

That's funny because I watched HDDCS in the cinema and when I saw that scene, in my head I thought "she's gonna win Best Actress for this" - she NAILED it.

(Female) Vidya Balan, Tabu, Radhika Apte, Shraddha Kapoor (most of BW doesn't want to work with Shakti's daughter, not the greatest of talents, but her perseverance is to be admired)

Least

(Male) Sanjay Dutt, Harshvardhan Kapoor (yeah, he's only at the beginning of his journey, but he sounds like an entitled idiot), the Deols (starting with Dharmendra), the Salman Khan hangers on

(Female) Kajol, Kareena, Sonam (she is trying to do different movies, but I get the same entitled vibe from her interviews I get from her brother). I would say Alia, but she's proved herself as an actress.

All non nepotism actors and actresses have struggled a lot

In them, the average looking folk have struggled more

SRK, Tara, Akshay Kumar, Sridevi

SRK - for building an empire. When I watched him in Fauji, I never thought he would become such a huge brand.

Sridevi - even without knowing Hindi, she persevered and became a legend. She overshadowed her co-stars even when doing special appearances. She was a complete package of talent and beauty.
