Was Naina actually in love with Aman in Kal Ho Na Ho?

Or was she just impressed by him because he solved all her problems. Did Naina subconsciously saw Aman as a father figure she never had, as the movie focusses a lot in Naina not having and missing her father. Her father was described as a weak man who made mistakes, so Naina might've seen Aman as a father figure who solved all her personal, financial and family problems, something which her father should've done.

I wonder what type of couple Aman and Naina would've made if Aman had not died. Because Aman is a very dominating personality and it might not be a relationship of equals.

I once read a very convincing theory on how Aman in KHNH was a total creep.

It was more to do with how he simply parks himself in her life. I wish I could read that theory again. Was on a different forum which is now defunct.

KHNH is my all time fav movie and first SRK movie which made me fall for him, his acting even his look because before this movie i found him ugly 😆 When this movie was released i was too young, a school going kid.. and i always felt Naina was only attracted to Amaan, she never loved him. Because how easily and within few days she switched to Rohit from Amaan after her first heart break just because Rohit started to give her "Bhao" which he never done before with her 😆 But Amaan loves was pure & true for Naina and more than Amaan's dead i was heart broken to see how easily Naina started to love Rohit and cudn't see the pain in Amaan's eyes !

Naina was very saddistic, short temper & crybaby person😝 whenever she saw any problems in her family instead try to find the solution she lost her temper, given up and started crying.. So, basically Amaan was actually an Angel for her family 😆👼

Now that I think of, maybe not. I don't feel that she looked up to him as a father figure but she didn't love him. Naina got attached to him as he was like a sunshine, brightening her life. Even thou she was annoyed by him at first she then started appreciating him. She obviously liked him as he was the only one who thought for her and solved all her problems. But I am not sure she loved him. If she had loved him then she couldn't not in anyway move on so fast. She liked the idea of having Aman around but she fell for Rohit. Rohit was her comfort zone. Aman was something exciting, something new. For the time being she liked his presence but talking about the long term relationship, she chose her safety net ie Rohit and probably stayed happy.

If she had truly loved Aman she could never have accepted Rohit. Like in ADHM, Anushka was so much attached to Ranbir and they were perfect together but she never fell for him as she always loved Fawad. Even till the end it didn't seem like she loved Ranbir in that way. He was always her friend. She loved him but not in that way.

If Naina had truly loved Aman she would have till the very last breath.

Well she at the end did say he's her first love n she can't forget him.

Naina didn't move on to Rohit though. She was enjoying spending time with him but was shocked when she found out he loves her n accepted him cz her mother told her to . Even in her wedding she was foot foot is crying whole time for Aman.

If I see from today's lense,Aman Was a bit stalkerish yeah,Rohit was no better he was supposedly in love with Naina but got attracted to that girl who wasafter his money. Then came back to his senses when the girl pretend he proposed him😅😂

Naina loved Aman. It is not easy to move on and people crying till their last breath for someone who is married to another woman is a good fairytale romance but Naina was practical. Aman was a married man and she chose to spend her life with her closest friend, who loved her. She left her wedding when she got to know that Aman is not married, he is dying and he convinced her to live her life happily with a man who loves her.

PS : Aman was a stalker, I learn new things from this forum. Wasn't he actively involved in Naina's life? How is that stalking? He was nosy, not a stalker.

Naina fell in love with Aman because he came into her life like a breath of fresh air. She felt weighed down by the issues in her family that made her sullen and cynical. He lifted the weight and made her smile.
