SLB never does female oriented films; he is known for idolising (and even objectifying) women in his movies. They are the subject of violent envy and lust, wrapped up in the most dazzling universes. The only exception was Black but it flopped and was probably his worst movie. I thought RL was fun because of its cinematography but I didnât like it. It was crass and highly misogynistic and backwards. Leela is completely submissive to Ram and love, quite dumb and ended up killing herself. Not sure what makes this movie female oriented. It was clearly Ranveerâs movie, not matter how popular Deepika was. In the end it is about who made the most impact and it was clearly Ranveer (his songs were better and impactful, he was the ultimate macho hero, etc.). Same applies to BM and Padmaavat. SLB always roots for his male leads. I donât like it but thatâs who he is.
