I hope not as there is a very fine line between Bf and Gf friendship in friends. Even if they meet later and marry it will still have the vibe if infidelity about it as it never nice to go down that route.

No he is like Ashok and I don't want her to become Mita a parallel to her mother's story.

I rather she study and than meet someone else and marry. Lord there is no shortage of boys but this is a no no.

I’ve not seen today’s episode as yet. Why did they hug? It seems mini is becoming more aware of him as more than just a guy she’s friend zoned

I personally think mini and preet stopped being “best friends” the moment preet chose a guy over her childhood friend (it would probably happen again if she needed to make the choice). If mickey were in this same situation, unlike preet, I can see him choosing mini every time. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here or how the makers approach this topic. I for one am really excited. Mini looked so happy in yesterday’s episode, genuinely happy. I’d love for them to show her dating, yet still paying attention to her career. Maybe even getting a guy in a similar situation as her where he too is studying and they encourage each other. Just dating of course, she’s got many more years ahead before needing to settle down.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I absolutely hate how everyone has started to put a disclaimer of not wanting to offend anyone before or after their posts. You have something to say, say it freely. Just don't go bashing others for not agreeing with you and that's not even a lot to ask. That's just Etiquette 101.

I do agree with you in the changed dynamic between Minnie and Preet. Preet did and said a lot of mean things to Minnie, especially during a time when everything around her was falling apart. If it weren't for Mickey, who knows how much further into depression she would have gone. Having someone who takes the time out to just listen and be there for you means A LOT. And I'm saying that from personal experience.

The thing I love most about Mickey is that he is an extremely loyal and good friend. He genuinely cares about their problems and pitches in to find solutions. Anyone can just listen and while that has value, it means even more when someone actually helps you out of a difficult situation.

Again, I don't know why dating is being so heavily frowned upon. Dating is not equivalent to getting married. Just give her the freedom to explore the scene. If she finds that's not something she's interested in, then that's totally cool. But to totally shut down that avenue for her without her even trying it is not right.

And on a side note, if your significant other can be your best friend, then I think you've struck gold.

You have to watch it to understand the hug.

Also, I am quite sure that like all daughters who want to see their father's qualities in their husbands/partners, Minnie is subconsciously seeing similarities between HS and Mickey.

Mickey does idolize HS and has seen what kind of person he is, so is probably picking up a lot of good things from him.

I think Mickey is not really friendly with his father, it sounded more like a formal relationship.

I just ignore the haters lol their lives are obviously really said if they can be a bully over a tv show that’s fiction.

Childhood friend or not, I’m sure deep down mini would know that when she was at her lowest point, preet wasn’t there for her. In fact preet was making things worse for her at college.

Very well written I also agree that I got the feel that mickey looks up to hs and therefore will pick up some good qualities from him. From what he spoke of his father they seem to have more of a “do as I say” relationship.

I actually think mini’s feelings might have been there all the time but her anger cos of ashok made her not recognise it, and now that she’s seen a man who’s different, she’s perhaps seeing mickey in a different light.

With regards to ppl having an issue about her dating, I also wondered the same. I took it mean that it’s perhaps older folk who equate dating to soon getting married before something like the girls falling pregnant happens (the “what would ppl say” generations 😲😃)

Ps I love how this show pushes boundaries on society and what they say. I’m a firm believer that a person shouldn’t live for the gossips and whether you do good or bad, ppl will always have something to say about u. I love mini’s attitude on this topic. The fact is no1 outside ones family Has a right to an opinion on your life so they should stop being given that right.

I wonder if they’d show the “other woman” perspective thru mini? Like maybe how it’s not that women go around seducing men, it’s only men who are not committed that allow themselves to fall for someone else? Too often the Mita’s Are blamed when it’s Actually the one in the relationship to be blamed

I think Micky always loved and still loves Minnie . One of the reason he agreed to be bf of Preet is that he will be able to be in their company , in Minnie's company .

Yes , That is cheating Preet but Micky is a guy who takes things easy and not very seriously unless it is something to do with Minnie.

Minnie has just started to realize her feelings for Micky and how she is dependent on him .

Her monologue with diary indicates what we are going to see in future . Interesting how HS and Babita wiill play their role in this M-M dynamics .

The way he chased Mini was very upsetting as well. Than he settled on Preeti because he saw no future with Mini. And now he keeps on hanging out with Mini while going out with Preeti is not nice.

Did not like the way he told Mini to live for herself and not her Babes is not good vibes for the future.

There is that very fine line when there is a boyfriend and girlfriend situation in Friends as it never ends on a happy note.

Why some say that Mickey is a true friend is laughable and they are ignoring Preeti and saying that they dont look nice together is very shallow.

I don't want Mini with him as she will be with another Ashok and her as Mita.

The same situation that her Mother was in.

I rather they remain friends thats all.

Sorry to say but the first impression is not always right. This was the theme of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice which has been made into movies all over the world many times and in many languages. The novel remains ever-popular even in 2018 as it was in the 1800s.

I personally feel that she missed the love of her family, making her a little bitter. HS was drowning in work and alcohol and her personal family is still busy in their own world. With HS, Babita and Minnie truly around + a sense of purpose due to the catering business, I feel she has mellowed down. She still abuses at times because it's her nature (and now those abuses too feel like a different language of love). But the bitterness feels like it's faded away. I may be totally wrong, ofcourse. Just my opinion. 😆

Micky was always very clear . He loves Minnie . His every move suggests that. Preet is a fool to think that Micky loves her . The writers never thought of Preet and Micky as a real couple as they have never shown their scenes together .

Micky was forced to be with by Minnie.

Minnie is afraid of falling in love .

Hanuman sing's love for babes will convince her that Men can be trustful too. Then only she will acknowledge her love for Micky .

I agree! Babita is a prime example on how first impressions can be wrong. Who’d have thought in the first episode that the shy woman who endured for 17 years suddenly has an “ego” and “self respect” problem. From what I understand initially they mentioned she received ridicule for a husband who didn’t bother about her. Also look at khatri’s wife!

Whether we like it or not the ppl we associate with influence us and ppl are capable of changing, especially if they’re surrounding themselves with good ppl. Ppl do change

What we fail to understand is that 90% of boys mickey’s age usually has girls on the brain, so I think sometimes ppl are a bit harsh on him. Who know, they may have showed him this way on purpose to show how he’s grown from being that way. One thing for sure is he’s not the same guy
