Soulmates

Okay I'm writing this after a lot of hesitation. (Also trepidation!)

Coz, 1st thing first, people may bash me thinking I'm encouraging minor minni's romance.

And also,I dont know if its permissible to mention other show.

Still, let me try putting up my opinions. If its Against any rule,mods are here anyway.

Well,i have nothing against the soulmate idea.It sounds pretty good.

But I have a truck full of reservation against the presentation of this idea in tv esp ITV.

Here,for a whole life two people are somehow close but can't be together, due to lots of mu and marriages offcourse!!They call that soulmate connection! Oh hello,If u guys are soulmate how come u have so many misconceptions?? Even though i know its for drama,This question bug me a lot.

Obviously except some exceptions. There are one or two of nice shows.

Then,there came the famous korean drama which had lots of adaptations/remakes in many countries. There They showed minni's version of soulmate. U Don't need to be in a romantic relation to besoulmates.

Its a famous drama, everybody loved it including me but i still haven’t get it.When everything was okay between the soulmates why the female lead had to choose the other,seemingly rude and emotional guy???

So when last night,minni put that soulmate question in her diary I wanted to know the same.And if minni-mickey went to that direction, i guess I'm happily waiting for it.(i have no problem if they remain friends or lovers or minni choose career,i Trust writers!)

Coz, PB is the only show which can show something like that and yet make sense .

trust me, i vehemently hate the idea of adultery still i could never just hate meeta.I didn’t like her or never agreed with her reasoning of the affair. But idk How to explain it,i kinda got her.She felt real.

I was seriously amazed at the Writing of the show that how come they show the other woman angle so sensitively.(except the abrupt ending episodes)

So,i'm gonna put my faith on writers and wait patiently to see if they can convince me with the soulmate idea of our veer balika.

I know you are talking about the second lead syndrome of kdrama. FL chooses jerk and rude ML over second lead for some reason.

I stopped watching those types of kdrama with confused female leads. I loved them as a teenager but as I grew up I don't like them anymore.

Kdrama have some absolute gems but those never get as popular as crappy ones.

I for one have liked Mickey Character from the beginning a bit like Ashok.

The way he went with girls at the same time is very disrespectful to woman and being a Mum to Girls very upsetting to watch Boys like that.

The way he chased Mini was very upsetting as well. Than he settled on Preeti because he saw no future with Mini. And now he keeps on hanging out with Mini while going out with Preeti is not nice.

Did not like the way he told Mini to live for herself and not her Babes is not good vibes for the future.

There is that very fine line when there is a boyfriend and girlfriend situation in Friends as it never ends on a happy note.

Why some say that Mickey is a true friend is laughable and they are ignoring Preeti and saying that they dont look nice together is very shallow.

I don't want Mini with him as she will be with another Ashok and her as Mita.

The same situation that her Mother was in.

I rather they remain friends thats all.

A first impression is never wrong.

People seem to love craps everywhere.

And logical ones are always flop.

Its just i never get the reasons.

I'm looking forward to see if pb writers can make sense of this thought that u can have a really good connection without being romantically involved..

Well,i dont know about the impression but I'm liking the way his character growth is shown.cvs did not abruptly change his character. Even yesterday he was ogling at punom masi.I think he still is the same teeneger romeo guy but with time he has evolved as a good friend, he is having his own perceptions of way of life .Minni rejected him, so he tried his way with preet. Not the just thing to do but I guess i have passed my college life with full of guys like that. There are so many crushes and breakups.But some of them actually lasted, happily till now.

Isn't that how u grow up?u can not be a perfect person since beginning.

I'm not defending him.I'm just saying those types of behaviour is common.

Even our minni has so many issues . So why not mickey?Maybe his playboy type persona is his issue which will be addressed somehow in future .HS already have complaints with his lifestyle.

Pb writer normally don't forget things. So,lets see how those angles are explored.

At the risk of also experiencing the wrath of the many on here who don’t want to see a bf angle or mini and mickey together, I personally loved the scene between mickey and mini and I believe mini has had a thing for him from the start (he was there when she had no one else) but her perspective has been all skewed after what had happened with her father, till she seen that not all men are the same and some are actually like hs. I actually think the way she reacted when she was told that mickey and preet we’re together also showed her feelings for him but at this point she could not name why she was against the relationship and said it was because it will end in tears. However if this was the case she would not have said “not so long ago he Had feelings for me”. I’ve always thought that when she and preet became friends again, the dimension has never been like before kittu and whenever it’s mini, preet and mickey speaking it feels as tho there’s a different chemistry between mickey and mini (this could also be because he was there for her at her lowest point, where even preet weren’t, I’m not sure).

Well I personally love every character's arch in this show. Even lovely bua,minni's mami or beeji.

They have evolved with time.

Did they become some alternate versions overnight? Nope, they didn’t.

They are still selfish, they still wanna get their way.I'm sure minni's mami wont want babes in her house back, beeji will still love babes with her son, lovely will still try to take advantage of babes.That being said,all those people have Finally found their voice against wrong.They have their own twisted way of doing things right.they learned to own up Their mistakes. They are growing up as the story moves on.Thats the beauty of PB.

PS: I guess only our dear sweetheart naembi was perfect since day one.

Bold 2 - Oh yes I agree with NB. It’s quite surprising actually because someone her age isn’t usually shown as being so open minded and modern in their approach to advice on life.

U are right a lot of the characters have grown, Although whether they’ve really grown or are this way because they have no other choice (mainly beeji) I wouldn’t know.

I personally think mini and preet stopped being “best friends” the moment preet chose a guy over her childhood friend (it would probably happen again if she needed to make the choice). If mickey were in this same situation, unlike preet, I can see him choosing mini every time. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here or how the makers approach this topic. I for one am really excited. Mini looked so happy in yesterday’s episode, genuinely happy. I’d love for them to show her dating, yet still paying attention to her career. Maybe even getting a guy in a similar situation as her where he too is studying and they encourage each other. Just dating of course, she’s got many more years ahead before needing to settle down.

You know, you're absolutely right about that. She's just awesome. I am loving her more and more everyday. I do miss her gaaliyan, though. She seems to have toned it down a bit.
