Hi everyone, I am an avid reader of Suta's updates and the discussion. I patiently wait every morning for her to put it up because like many here I can't muster the courage to watch the show...😬

It's a lot of fun reading different views... and I dont generally write becoz I have nothing much to add...

But today I am tempted to say just one thing...

It's my observation that daily soaps in ITV these days mercilessly butcher characters without taking care of consistency/basic characterisation ...this is true not just of mata but most PHs...the pretext is that they want to create a variety...actors are happier coz it gives them more opportunities to perform different emotions/shades...and the story can be stretched for hundreds of episodes effortlessly...so it's convenient for all parties involved in the mkg of the show...they really don't care about viewers and feel that their work should not be taken seriously becoz they aren't too serious about it either!

I have myself been emotionally invested in 2 other shows prior to this one and I find startling similarities in the butchering 😂

So happy watching/ discussing/reading everyone. I love this thread and the way everyone keeps it lively and light!

Thinking about someone who you loved and care for is not obsession. It shows that they are human , they have feelings which never die or change.... As love never turns into indifference. If it does it wasnt love...if anurag disgusted her in such a short span of time , how did she think she would have lived with him ? Her mom also said the same words that she wont accept bajaj , did her mom disgust her too? I know anurags indecent proposal was disgusting , I won't justify that , but if she cannot read through him , if she cannot know what he really means, that he will never give up trying , to bring them together , she didnt deserve him..I always said that there wasnt any love between them . Time and again its proved. If in future she again switches back to anurag , bajaj will he doing the same what anurag is doing now.

This is the same prerna who made anurag her centre of universe and forgotten her own mom and her family and their respect . And she is the same person for whom kuki and bajaj are the centre of universe and anurag is forgotten . Shifting loyalties so soon? 😆 i agree with you she has been consistent with this kinda behaviour . Nothing new. Yes , people do move on , And good she moved on , she made a choice and she is living by it ..She forgave anurag without any apology and bajaj is also forgiven . Consistent writing 👏it just happened in a blink of an eye which is surprising .

A good question. When I pondered over it, I feel It wasn't Anurag who disgusted her, it was more of his actions like indecent proposal, stalking (and the slap?)

But she herself knows that she didn't give him the closure , that's why she knows he isn't completely at fault.

And as I said somewhere, This prerna has always been the same this season. Weak, spineless but empathetic and quickly adapts to situations.

That's why I said , she hasn't changed. This character has always been weak.

If Pre was adaptive to situations, What was Sassy Pre then?
She should have accepted that Onu has moved on, So she should have continued her helpness situation instead of fighting back then...

Ideally, that fighting instinct is pretty much gone now... That Sassy Pre part doesnt fit in well cause she should have quickly moved on adapted to it..

Ask any neutral fan. Going back to a guy who has wronged you and impregnated you and living in his house , is SASSY?

There was zero self respect there.

A sassy prerna would have gone to police station, filed a case against him. Would have said how he impregnated her on the pretext of getting married and then married someone else without having the balls to even tell her that he is marrying someone else ! That would have made her sassy.

So true 😆 disgust feeling settled in a little late..when anurag betrayed her after impregnating her , and she forgave him without an apology , infact gave up her life for the same person , She didnt feel the disgust at all 😆

Anyhow , I agree with you ,she has been like that..take it or leave it.

She is impulsive. She is weak. She is sacrificing

She decided to marry Naveen babu and she stuck to it. Remember how many times Anurag told her that Naveen isn't a good guy, yet she never believed him.

Because she decided she wants to marry Naveen so she stuck to her decision.

If she had been successful in marrying him, her marraige to him would have been exactly the same as it's with bajaj. She would have disliked him, yet would have been loyal to him.

Agreed with that consistency... The one during Naveen time n now is pretty much the pre that existed..

The inconsistency is with the in between track where she was meant to change.. Fight back etc.. Eventually to become a stronger person which didn't happen.. But that little fight back attitude that she got then is gone... I'm not justifying the reason was valid or not for that phase.. Just that they started to show some progress n brought her back to square one.. Don't forget that she allied with Vikrant to defeat/destroy basu's etc.. That change is not retained anymore...

I dont expect Pre to day dream about Onu for One.. Just the acknowledgment of his existence is missing... And honestly, I want her to grow as an individual n not just accept everything that life offers her... That home-making publication or whatever she was supposed to be part of or the magazine launch she prepped with Vikrant... This little bit of growth was there in previous track which has been reverted back now...
