Just seen the promo again and completely forgot about dahi handi scene (clearly the impact was so great!). Are they just taking scenes from 90's Bollywood movies and rehashing them for their show. All the money and resources and this is their best thus far!!!

There are some festivals which are celebrated in Mumbai with great passion....and Dahi handi is one of them...so all those 90s movies have taken inspiration from Mumbai diares...but still even today these are celebrated with same passion in Mumbai...
