It takes time to write them up so by the time I post it, many of you are already fast asleep. I started writing them after being requested to do so, but I had hoped it would lead to discussions, which is not quite happening. Since I live in Canada, your analysis tend to get posted around my evening/night. I try to reply to them as much as I can but since I work during those hours, sometimes I'm not able to. =/

As for the discussions, I feel like most of them take place directly after the episode is aired. Thus, by the time your analysis post rolls along, most of the queries have either been answered or points have already been made.

Personally, I would love to read your posts. I wasn't able to watch yesterday's episode at the same time as everyone else and hence felt a bit left out in the Ajao Saarey thread discussions. Your analysis however, makes me feel included as it incorporates not only your interpretations and opinions but other members' as well. Plus, it'll give me a singular source to interact with rather than sifting through pages and pages and bringing up discussions that have already been concluded.

Ultimately, it's your choice. Weigh out the time it takes to write up the posts and the kind of feedback you get in return. If it's worth it, then go for it. If not, as already suggested, then we can always pick out specific scenes / themes / current character arcs and discuss those instead.

I was about to suggest this... why not instead do a weekly review, post it on Saturday so we can all have things to talk about over the weekend...

I love love your posts... sometimes, they give me a perspective I have not thought about or explain depths I can't understand... I do most of the time try and stay up late to read but now that work will start (finally)... I won't be able to do so... also by the time it's posted I lose my chain of thoughts... a weekly update with important stuff only... unless the episode is an important one... that you can cover on the date aired...

Ok, next week this is what I'll try to do:

1. time-box the writing to an hour so that I can post it as soon as possible (we'll get shorter episodes from Monday so it should be a bit easier)
2. pick the key themes
3. write more detailed analysis on the weekend
4. will also let you know on evenings when I won't be able to post anything or if I will be late so that you are not kept waiting up. 😉

The thing is, I love writing these analyses because it gets my creative juices flowing. I can't resist!

Also, the moment I finish watching the episode I am torn between commenting on other posts versus starting my own so it's a bit tricky. 😆

I don't know if the other members will be up for it, but in the past forum I've been apart of, there used to be weekly newsletters. There we various things included such: character of the week, scene of the week, member of the week, story of the week and so much more.

If everyone wants, we can do something similar and have your analysis be a part of it? That way, we have something to look forward to for the weekend and it can serve as a recap of all the major things that happened during the week in the show and forum.
