I guess, zee must be cursing the moment they had signed Kareena thinking they will grab eye balls and TRPs for the show. The DID shows were great in their initial seasons, now with poor TRPs and such useless judges like Kareena, they have lost credibility too.

Sawaal hai nahi hai ki "why did she sign for this show?", Par ye hai ki "why was she signed up for this show?".

It's probably the other way around. The show started with low TRP and it went downhill after that. The producers can't afford a 3 cr per epi trp poison. The rival show has signed Raveena so the producers now trying their luck drawing a parallel by signing Raveena's rival.
